I don't think it's necessary to put anything in post two unless you really want to. Most people are going to come here to ask questions. We can always give the "official party line" (Like the way the buttons/GAC work) and then what people have experienced and just make sure that we clarify that not everybody will experience the same thing. Does that make sense? I have only ever heard of one person who was disappointed because something didn't happen the way they had heard it was supposed to. From my understanding that person stayed at GKTW and not given the green light GAC and waited in many lines. When they found out others haven't had to, they suddenly were disappointed with what had been to them a great wish. I don't know who or when it was, just that it has supposedly happen.

It sounds like 99.9% of the people who come on this thread have their experience enhanced by it, not hindered by it.

Maybe it would be a good idea to post something for the people who just lurk. I really think if someone has a child (especially a special needs one) then they should already know that nothing usually goes as planned for any length of time. I think most people would realize that no 2 trips are the same because no 2 kids are the same. The things you do, see and the people you meet will change with every trip. I like reading the TR's and learned alot from them. I liked all of the magical things that happened for the kids but also remember the points that didn't go so well. Like the pirate show. We decided do skip it this trip since it doesn't cater to wish families and is dark and all. That is something we could catch on a later ordinary trip. I think you all make a very good point that you are not promised FOLT and not all things will happen to you only some. O.K. I am rambling again but you get my point.

Wanted to say thank you to Teresajoy. My DD recieved a Snow White dress in the mail today. I have posted pics in my TR. She is so excited to wear this dress when she has breakfast with Snow White. Thank you to all of you who have made this trip for my kids even more magical.

Unfortunately I was given bad news on Saturday that might affect our wish trip. Mya was scheduled to start her last round of chemo on Friday but before she was able to start she had to have a chest Xray. Saturday her oncologist came to talk to me and told me her AFP had risen to 37 which is the hormone her tumor secretes. Normally it should be below 7 so Mya's Afp means her tumor is starting to grow again. Now we are discussing what course of treatment to take next but we are reaching the end of our options and unfortunately the odds of Mya of beating her Cancer is very slim right now but there is still a chance. So her doctor has advised us to take her wish trip in July instead of waiting untill October. I have to talk to her wish coordinater/fairies tommorrow. Do you think they will be able to move her up due to her situation? Please keep Mya in your prayers that she will still make a full recovery.

Please know that we are praying for Mya and praying that she WILL MAKE A FULL RECOVERY. Also that everything will work out just perfectly for her trip.

Who are you with? Make A Wish? I can't speak for the organizations, but if it is Make A Wish they will absolutely be able to move up her wish. The urgency of a child's wish is categorized by the prognosis the doctor has given them. Those with a more dire prognosis are granted their wishes first. Heck, we were told they have been able to put together wishes for kids who had less than a week.

We leave in less than 24 hours. Time has flown by and there is still so many last minute things to get finished. We hardly slept at all last night. (Even my DH). I think we are all excited to go on vacation together but especially on such a magical one.

Just incase I don't make it back on here today I wanted to say another big Thank You to all of you who have helped me plan this trip. Thank you to all who have given to us through the Big Give. That was alot of fun and what a great way to start a wish trip. I will cherish these memories forever.

With that being said we are off to see the Mouse!

Hello!

I had posted about 4 months ago that our wish had been approved, but have been so busy that I haven't been keeping up on here. I have a lot to read up on. We finally received our dates for Aidan's trip to Disney. We are going Nov. 29-Dec. 5, but I don't know for sure that we are staying at GKTW. If we have our dates, they should be able to confirm that for me right? Now I just have to start our pre-trip report. (I should have started it months ago like I wanted, but got lazy!)

Has anyone ever gone to MVMCP? We are thinking about doing it on the Sunday we arrive, but aren't sure of our flight times. I am afraid to buy tickets and have our flights be to late to go. If I recall, flight times are somewhat of a last minute detail.
