I am posting this in hopes to get a few prayers on my side.

About the same time as Liam was making his wish I was filling out papper work for Liam to get Social Security. It was never a thought in my mind that Liam would be denied. I was already planning to use some of the back pay to buy the tickets to MNSSHP and for doing a Character Meal. Well I guess its right to say don't count your chickens before they hatch, because he was denied.

Now I don't know what I am going to do. I hope that the money from MaW will cover it but I can't be certain. Being a single mom I know I can't swing it right now.

So here are where your prayers come in. I just emailed the wish cordinator and told here what was going on. I am hoping that they can take care of at least one of these events for me now. Hope to here from her in the next couple of days.

Does he have a case manager? There is a way to get approved for social security based on medical necessity once you are denied. You have to submit a special form and your original application that was denied. I gave up and never fought it more for Tyler, but it might be worth looking into. I hope that you get some good news soon. Don't give up. You have to be told "no" several times by government agencies before they say, "yes"!

So disappointing for Caleb! I know it is for the best though!
We already had him packed! SO now we are scrambling to find something fun to do this week to cheer him up...he just cried and cried last night!

Poor little guy. I'm sure he was looking so forward to the camp -- sounds like a great time! An excited 8 year old doesn't understand swine flu I'm sure.

Hopefully you can find some fun things to do this week so Caleb will have as much fun!

Well I got it done. I started it last night but we had some severe storms come through and knock our power out a few times last night. So I figured I would do it this afternoon, but Andrea was on the computer play webkinz and Build a Bear. So I started it at around 7:00 p.m. tonight and wouldn't you know it my computer locked up and crashed. Man all that work gone.

So, I finally got it done.

We are home! We had a good quick trip to Nashville! I was able to meet some DISers there, which was fun.

Oh no!!!!!! That is horrible! I went to the MS MDA camp this last week and we had a good time. That makes me so sad.

Any luck finding anything out?

We don't know...several of us have been asking the same thing. I don't see any updates on their website.

I do know...from experience with close friends...that coming HOME from the hospital is the hardest part of major rehab. All of the daily stimulation from other people is gone...the phone calls and visits slow down and you are sorta left with the crummy situation of continuing rehab.

I hope that they are just really, really busy and that it is nothing more than that. I tend to think that no news is good news, though. At least I hope!

I wanted to let everyone that I really appriciate their support and prayers. We are definatly fighting the decision but I fear that it will be to late to help with our plans for WDW.

I do have some good news. Liam's wish cordinator called today and told me that she is fowarding on my requests to MaW. She told me that the only thing holding us back for a character meal ressie before was that we didn't have definate dates, now that we have dates she does not for see a problem with that. She didn't know about the MNSSHP but she would definatly ask or at least see the approx. amount of money I would recieve from MaW.

Not quite there yet but getting closer. So keep those prayers coming cause they are working.
