Well it rained, party was inside...but was AMAZING and in 1 week we will be in sunny Florida...pictures added to Pre-trip report....

I'm sorry you had rain, but I'm glad the party was still fun.

Saying prayers for the little girl who is having surgery.

Look at all these lurkers coming out of the wood work. That's awesome!

So I've been having fun getting the Wish Granter stuff worked out. I mailed the application on Saturday evening. I talked to my parents and my dad was telling me that we are going to Kansas this weekend (I thought it was only him and my mom and I was staying at their house to watch the animals. He negelcted to tell me I was in on this trip.) I kept asking him the dates and he finally told me. I'm supposed to drive home Friday, then Saturday they were going to come up to Kirksville and check how my packing went and disassemble any furniture. I quickly informed him about Wish Granter training, and discovered that I did not have the times for it.

I got the times from Kendra today. My parents are going to skip coming to Kirksville (yay!) so that I can go to training. I'm trying to convince them after training to go to Worlds of Fun where my boyfriend Aaron works (and where I might be working during summers/holidays). I also realized that they never told me where the training is. This is turning into quite the adventure!

Hi, Malia's MAW send-off party was yesterday, posted pic in her PTR. :goodvibes
Also a quick thank you to everyone who answered my last question.

Found a neat tip. Try to go family walks every night to help mom, dad, brothers and sisters build up their endurance. Wish kids too, if they are able. We know Dev may not make the whole distance, but DD9 is going to have to walk. We are starting with around the block. They say the average family walks 2-4 miles a during their trip! :scared1: I'm not sure that I'm u p to that.

We booked at Goofy's kitchen for Thursday mornning. They have PB&J pizza. YUCK, but that's what the kids want.

I heard it was like 13 miles a day!! But that is a great tip!

They really need to give some relaxing pills after the wish party...Emma is still flying high and still believes she is the princess...Princess better shape up or she is going to be in trouble before the trip...

Couple of quick questions about the photopass.

I got on the website and registered but don't see how to order it( I will have to figure that out)

Is is 99$? I thought that is what someone wrote.

After you pay the 99$ do you have to pay for the pics when you put your codes in? And if yes how much is it to order?

Is it too late to order the photopass?

I am soooo new to all of this and am really confused. Any help is appreciated!

wait...before you order it...hang on for a code...

sorry about that...I am back...

when you pre-purchase it, use this coupon code ...

9VISARD15

And it will give you some more off...I think my total was around $85 or something like that? But you have to use this by June 15th.

*** EVERYONE: Photopass is going UP to $145 or something like that on June 16th. If you know you want it for your wish trip and you know you are going soon, then you can pre-purchase it, use the code above, and save some money on it.

I am just not sure how soon you can buy it and know it will be good...For example, I went ahead and bought one for my Sept trip...but I am not positive that my pre-paid one will still work that far away? I almost bought one for December, too, though...

Does this make sense?

Anyway...you can use that code above until June 15th. You don't have to use a VISA to use it, either.

I thought I read somewhere that it was only good for 60 days. Has anyone else read that? I'll have to see if I can find it again.

Photopass Tutorial:

Buy the Photopass - You can technically "prepay" for the photopass ANYTIME (even after you get back) as long as it is BEFORE you actually load and look at your photos.

How Photopass Works - When you get to Disney and go into the parks, you will find many official Disney Photographers at various spots in the parks. They will take your picture with YOUR camera, if you want. And they will give you a card (the size of a credit card) that will have a set of numbers. Each time you get your picture taken, give them the card and the pictures will be assigned to that number on the card. When you get home, you can input the number from the card into the computer and look at all of your pictures. You can purchase individual pictures (they are expensive) or buy the whole CD of pictures. You can also make mugs, calendars, and even photo books that you design yourself. Many character spots have photopass photographers, too! So you can get all of your character pics on the CD, too.

Some tips:
- Take LOTS of pictures, even in the same spots on different days or different times of the day. The more pictures you take, the more likely you are to get a good picture.

- Take a picture of your photopass card, in case you lose it. You only need the number on the card to get your pictures. You might also want to write it down for future reference.

- You can actually have as many photopass cards as you want. It is easier to just keep up with one or a few, but you can actually have a BUNCH, you just input each number when you get back.

- Make sure each adult in your party understands the photopass and that they can get a new card if they have a photograph moment and you are not there with them. If you get separated, they can just get a new card and jot the number down and you will be able to claim the pictures.

- Wish Trips are a GREAT time to get LOTS of pictures, because you tend to visit a LOT of characters, so I recommend each Wish Family plan to pre-purchase one and then purposely take LOTS of pics.

- Have the photopass photographer take the same pictures with your camera, too!

- Some rides allow you to load the "ride picture" on your photopass... so feel free to ask a CM. I am almost positive Test Track allows this...and I think there are others.

I thought I read somewhere that it was only good for 60 days. Has anyone else read that? I'll have to see if I can find it again.

I read that on the boards here somewhere...but it didn't say that on my email...so I am hoping they will honor it in Sept (less than 90 days now!). But they may not...if not, I will just buy one then.

I did not order our photopass until after we got home from our trip. They just gave us a photopass card and they scanned it each time we had pictures taken. I had to pay $129.99. However, I think Tiffany paid $99. I have 323 pictures on my CD that I just got and love all of them!!!!

Woo Hoo!!!

Does this mean we get to see them, too?!?!

:rotfl:

I feel like a kid in a candy store! More, more, more! lol

I just love pictures. I am one of those that believe in capturing every moment on film. So learning about this photopass really excited me. I have a question about the CD. Can you make prints from the CD? Just curious.

Very good question. I don't quite understand it either but Maroo has cleared up alot about it. The photopass website talks like you should already know about it and is confusing to me.

Thank you Maroo for the info it has cleared up alot and will have saved me some money because I plan on figuring out how to purchase it with your code this weekend.

P.S. It is my 9th wedding anniversary today! We almost were able to celebrate it as Disney...

Yes, you can!

You can upload it at any store, etc...They give you a waiver that you can show the people that are printing them for you.

And they are very high quality, so you should be able to print large prints and not have quality issues.

And you can have as many as you want...they will send you multiple CD's if you take a bunch of pictures.

The main thing is...you can't see the pic when they take it...so especially if you have kids...take a LOT of pics. If you take one in front of the castle, come back and take another and another. Take a few at night in front of the castle, etc, too. And the character pics you will get will be awesome, too!! :)

Happy Anniversay!!!! We are hoping to be able to celebrate ours in September at Disney. We are still holding our breathes for our dates.
