Question, when you go through orientation are you given any discount stuff for area restaurants? I know we can eat meals at the Village but there are a few places we really want to go.(found a 10 off 25 at Rainforest and we want to eat at Margaritaville..) Just wondering if I should look for them

I was sitting her eating a snack and ready some questions on here. When all of sudden I felt something hard in my mouth. I just lost a filling!!!!
I leave in two days for our Make A Wish Trip. I guess now I need to add another thing to the list of things to do tomorrow. Hopefully the dentist will be able to fix it tomorrow (fingers crossed).

I just checked the GKTW site, it has different days for the activities you listed. Do you know if their site is updated regularly with schedule changes, or is it outdated?

I do think that the GKTW site is outdated. The last person to bring back the info for me was there in April, I think. So, it should be pretty close to the schedule. BUT...it can change. And I would love for anyone to bring me back the schedule so that I can make changes, too.

I have given a planner to almost every wish family and have not had any comments from anyone that the events were different (except in Feb - I think there were some changes to what I had back then)...so I am hoping it is right. I know it is close.

They also occasionally have special events...like we had an American Airlines party when we were there and Miss America (or someone like that) came - we actually missed it, because we were sick - but they had a special event...so it could change even if the main schedule is the same.

I hope that makes sense.

I see that you only have 3 posts...but once you get to 10, then you will be able to send a private message (PM) and I can get a planner to you guys, if you would like one. But I will have to wait for the Oct hours to come out. Are you planning on doing a pre-trip report? I hope so! They are so much fun to read and get to know you guys! (If you want to, of course!)

If you want to get to 10 posts fast, you can go to post 2 on page 1 of this thread and there is a link to a place where you can just post and not really say anything...and then you can post pictures and PM and such.

Oh no!!!! I am sure your dentist will help you out so you can get on your wish trip in time. Hopefully it will be something easy to fix.

I am so glad it happened now and not in Disney, though! That would have been crummy!

We were just there May 9-15th!

Here is the schedule from my bunny book:

Sunday- Candy Land game at the playground 7:30-8:30 pm
Monday- Disney character photos 8-8:30 am & 9:30-10 am
Discovery Cove animals 6:45-7:30 pm
Kid's night out/parents night off 5:45-9pm
Safari double dare 8-8:45 pm
Tuesday- Nickelodeon character photos 8:30-9:15 am
family fun night 7:30pm
Wednesday- horseback riding 8-11am
kids night out/ parents night off 5:45-9 pm
Village Idol 7:45-9 pm
Thursday- Disney character photos 8-8:30 & 9:30-10 am
Christmas 6:30-8:30 pm
Parade 7:45 pm
Friday- Universal character photos 8:30-9:15 am
Pirates and Princess party 7:30-8:30 pm
Saturday- Horseback riding 8-11 am

I agree. You can't miss Christmas. We changed our dates by one day so we would not miss it. Christmas at GKTW is so much more magical in my book than any character meal.

It's over....my trip report that is!
I finished it up last night....makes it feel so final!
But we talk daily about the awesome memories that were made during that 1 short week!

I have become addicted to this board.....as well as all things Disney!
SO I plan on sticking around!

I finished 2 1/2 days of our trip report and then have not worked on it for a few days. I think it is because it will be so final once I complete it. We have no future plans to go again. It was a wonderful week, but our budget does not have any room for vacations.

That is the same boat Lauren's family is in...We are hoping to get them back after Lauren graduates, though!

I do hope you will finish your TR! I am enjoying it...but forget me...it is more important, you will have those memories forever...even if you can never go back. But as time wears on, you will be surprised how much you will forget. The TR with all of the pictures and stories will keep those memories alive forever.

Yes we do celebrate, I was told that this was the only time they could get us..I haven't even tried to change them.. wasn't sure if there was anyway to do that. We get all of our information on Monday....do you really think we could change it?

Thanks for clearing up the names. With that being said.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! to Danyl for the first package of our Big Give. My kids were really thrilled to get mail and when they seen what it was it put them over the edge.



Also we recieved 3 more packages today from Cajunfan.
My daughter opened up hers which was addressed to a Princess. Let me tell you what happened. In the middle of going through all of her stuff I notice her shaking (her hands). I asked her if she was o.k. and she said "No mom I am so excited I think I made myself go low" Checked her BG and sure enough she was low. Kinda funny this time because right before the mail came she was a little high. (we think her honeymoon period is ending because she has been waking up higher than normal).

So we treated her low and she went right back to looking at her things.

There was so much my daughter actually then said "this is more than I get at Christmas" She was very appreciative and so is my ds. They love their outfits and I had to fight them to take them off. They have never had names on their items and thought that was pretty cool. We love our matching shirts and I promise to post pics in the morning. We had a recital all afternoon and I am leaving for ballgames tonight.

Thanks again for all the wonderful things we have recieved. My kids really really love it all.
