I am so tired of the answers from Disney being "summer" or "June". I want to be able to plan our June trip with a little more accuracy!! I am so frustrated not knowing if the Frozen thing and the new Star Wars fireworks etc. will be open by June 4-12 or not. Why can't they just give a date so I can plan my parks?! It is frustrating enough to not know anything about ROL and to know that the new Soarin' film won't be open yet. Grrrrrrrrrr.

They do that to save themselves from something like what happened with rivers of light. The Star Wars fireworks are rumored to begin June 5th.

Thanks. That's just dandy. I had scheduled HS for the evening of June 4th (our arrival day) in hopes of catching them. Now I need to see if I can arrange another late evening there. I'm just so frustrated. I'm trying to plan using the easywdw crowd calendars and I keep checking for park hours updates at AK too - hoping I can change one of our current FP's to the new nighttime safari. Any thoughts about when they may open FP's for that? It's just all too time consuming to try to watch for EVERYTHING. I made no FP's at Epcot this trip since I couldn't get a date for the Frozen thing and I knew we'd miss the new Soarin'. I only made 4 ADR's so far because I'm trying to leave some time open here & there to be flexible but it's just too hard.

I think its more likely 2018 than 2017 but yes.

AK hours extended to 11pm in starting May 27th through July 2....wonder when FP becomes available for the nighttime stuff....do I have to stay up til midnight tonight?? Eek.

They also need time to figure out what new and exciting additional fee they can charge!

Lets see we have preferred parking, potential resort fee, after hours fee not mention early hours fee. I will be shocked if they don't create a fee for Grand Opening of Frozen ride. Lets see maybe charge $159.00 and you get to go on the ride a week earlier than everybody else. For the 159 you will get a soft drink and school bread!

Honestly, I wouldnt be surprised if they had a ticketed event for the opening of Frozen, promoting it as, "be one of the first ever to experience Frozen".

I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if that happens.

Actually July 4th is from what I've been hearing.
