Major Disney refurb and construction completion dates worldwide

I hope Soarin and Frozen are open for our triop in June. Really not much to Epcot in the way of rides with those two out...

I've heard late June or early July for Soarin. Apparently they want to debut the new film in Shanghai first and that opens mid June.

Question...on an average, when Disney makes announcements of new rides, shows etc, how long of a time span is in between the announcement and opening day...2 weeks before it opens, a month? Just curious

Disney announces when they are ready. I don't think there is an average. They could announce a year in advance or a day in advance.

I've heard late June or early July for soarin so I doubt they will have soft openings the first week of June. Though that's when we will be there, too, so I'd love it if they did.

That's really sad to see. Hope they build a new Pizza Planet somewhere in the upcoming Toy Story Land. Hopefully one that is much more like the one in the movies.

For rides there tends to be a big gap between announcement and opening. The new Avatarland at AK is probably a worst case where it will be about 6 years from announcement to opening. Shows tend to be less, but usually at least a couple months. M&G tend to be the quickest from announcement to opening.

There doesn't seem to be any indication that there will be a Pizza Planet in TSL. The concept art shows a quick service without and outside seating area, and there are couple buildings that could also house a restaurant. The tricky part would be getting it to fit with the theming. The idea of TSL is that you are toy sized in Andy's back yard.

Agree, from what I have heard and read it seems unlikely to see pizza planet in the plans any more

I was soooo excited to go to Pizza Planet for my first trip to HS after the restaurant opened up and then was soooo disappointed when I saw it in person. They definitely did not do it justice! I don't mind seeing it replaced.

Me too...and it looks like most March dates are still bookable - I figure I need it selling out way in advance to get my wish to come true!!! Fingers crossed for some pixie dust!

That's a good point. I had forgotten about the "Andy's backyard" aspect of the theming for TSL.
