Major Disney refurb and construction completion dates worldwide

I just heard that BTM refurb has definitely been pushed back: Aug 8 - Nov 18. People are reporting it showing standby availability when reserving fastpasses. A CM confirmed when called (though don't know how reliable that info can be), and it's also listed on the Touring Plans website.

With record breaking attendance expected this summer, and potential tiered pricing which will make summer more expensive, they would be smart to push the refurb of a headliner to a non-peak time.

They haven't opened up FP for it yet. They may not even do so and just go standby since it was supposed to be closed.

Touring Plans is showing a July 1 completion date for Soarin.....not sure how accurate that is though.

Not confirmed but from what I've heard the new film is going to debut in Shanghai which opens June 16th. That means the new film won't debut here until sometime after that.

I agree! This affects our trip as well...but maybe they will decide to postpone it again to avoid doing the refurb during the Halloween Party season (this is my wishful thinking)

No. Shanghai is getting an 'exclusive'.

You know we just watched the Disney "planning" DVD, which is pretty much a long advert and useless for actual planning. But one thing everyone commented on was that they barely touched on Future World at all. Test Track and Soarin' were the only things that got a name check. That tells you something.

I watched that recently too. I also liked how they plugged the new animal kingdom offerings.
