Major Complaint!

I have what I think is a major complaint about the Disney Resorts. Now you all may think this complaint is minor but to me, this really bothers me.

Am I the only one who's complaining about this or are there others? QUOTE]

Seriously, if this is your idea of a major complaint, then consider yourself as living a charmed life. Yes, it would appear that you're pretty much out there on your own.

personally, I would be thrilled if Stacey had been replaced from the WDW commercial/infomercial. She has a "Flo" vibe for me. (Yes, zflo the creepy lady from the car insurance commercials). But, if you don't like the other channels, then turn them over, or ignore them. I try to ignore stacey, by switching her off.:beach:

3 1/2 years. His 1st post says he's been looking for 2 years! Does sound a bit fishy doesn't it? :scratchin

LOL - This is a MAJOR Complaint................. Really??? :rotfl2:

This is EXACTLY why I said this would be fun and started eating my popcorn!!! I notice he hasn't been back in awhile either................ :scratchin

I admit, we turn on the TV in the AM while getting ready or cooking breakfast - and our son used to watch the cartoons......... then they took them off - now we usually listen to the "whats going on at disney today" channel - regardless, I still stand by my previous post that in my opinion the TV is OVER saturated with DISNEY self promotion - how in the world anyone could NOT think that is beyond me!!! Anywhooooo - back to my popcorn.............. popcorn::

Don't mind Flo, but Stacey is literally the WORST. :crazy2:

See, that would be interesting. Put commercials on that station instead of Stacy. Now we're getting somewhere.

Yes, I do live a charmed life. I'm blessed. :)

What Reddy says! I loved channel 96 and the old cartoons. We now have to hope they are playing in the resort lobby, and also hope there aren't a ton of kids around, and DS is autistic and likes it quiet to enjoy "Mickeys Trailor". :rotfl2:
Yea, they don't play cartoons in our lobby anymore. They now show Disney Channel bubble gum sitcom garbage.

I rarely even turn on my TV. I'm at WDW and I want to be out there, enjoying the parks, the resorts, or DTD.
HAving said that, if I feel like watching something, I'll use my laptop or iPad and watch something I brought from home.

Besides the parks and sometimes including the parks, depending on how the day went, one of my favorite things to do is sit in my room and watch the Disney theme park commercials.

I'm with you, 100%. There's nothing I like to do more than spend thousands of dollars on a vacation so I can sit in my hotel room and watch television commercials about the place I have spent thousands of dollars to visit.

can I complain too??
I want the cartoons back on
you know the channel where they played the same ones over & over again?? it was great to watch before going to sleep & getting dressed in the mornings - we would leave it there the whole trip

Now I miss those....my kids used to watch them non stop! now you can only see them in the lobbies...I actually bought dvd's of those oldies for memories sake,my teens still watch them!

I understand what OP said about the missing stuff on the tv....we don't watch much while on vacation, but I always left either the cartoons or the Stacy loop for background noise....I don't know why,but I love it....sadly my youngest still has a thing for 'fish and chips' in the UK from those loops.....:rotfl2: we're usually too tired and busy for regular tv watching anyway.....:cool1:

Hmmmmm......Disney 'expert'.....been a member on here at least 18 months......only 10 posts to date......I smell a troll!

While I wouldn't call it a major complaint, I am a little sad that WDW is now like any other vacation destination when it comes to TV viewing. I know we are in the minority, most people couldn't stand the minimal TV selection, but it was nice to get away from all the talk, talk, talk of the normal daily routine. We were among the few who never understood the need for a larger TV in the room, lol.

We rarely ever watch TV in the World, but while in our room we would put on the Zip-a-dee-do-dah Tip of the Day (long gone), cartoons on 96 or the resort channel with the cute Disney music while we prepared for the day, or for bed in the evening. It's the sound track I hear in my head when I think of trips to the World. I hope the resort channel at least is still there, we'll be disappointed if it is gone, too.

We LIKED being in the Disney bubble, a major reason for going to WDW so often was the ability to block out the real world for a while.:cloud9:

Maybe an impostor who wants attention and couldn't get attention under their real screen name. Who signs up with the DIS just to have a "Major Complain" as their first post? Who does that? ...and the major is definitely a minor. I'm sure it didn't put a dent or ruin the troll's trip.

I can't believe that anything about the TV in WDW would qualify as a major complaint to someone, but different strokes and all that. ;)

And trust me on this, OP, when/if you become a parent, UFC commercials won't even be a blip on your radar.

LOL, well we're the strange birds in the group I suppose. My kids LOVE all the park tour, DVC...etc channels. My teenage daughter even watches the Disney park tours on Netflix LOL when we're at home.

We don't have cable at home, and we're not in the room too much anyway to watch TV. Still it wouldn't be Disney without some Disney'esque channels :) to check out in the morning or when we're winding down at night.
