. What are these "new technologies that allow guests to customize their Disney park experience"? What does that mean????

That sounds to me like just marketing speak for website improvements. You know, let you print a list of the rides and shows you want see etc... Maybe they are develping their own system of "Touring Plans" that you can customize online. Weren't the MYW tickets marketed as a way to "customize" your vacation? They are more convenient, but not quite what they were originally hyped to be.

I would LOVE it if they could come up with a way to make ADR's on the website, and print them out from home!

WEEEEE!!!!! How exciting!!! As if I weren't already bouncing off the walls over our December trip. My poor hubby. :D

That's TOO COOL! Do you think that if you win the spending the night in the castle portion you'd get to stay in Walt's apartment?! :scratchin

And the answer is--YES!!! How totally COOL would that be???

:sad2: :sad2: What happens if you enter more then once...I accidentally entered twice....I didn't read the first time and the second time i realized I had actually entered prior....

I was wondering the same thing. I actually am worried that since we all entered "early" what if it was a computer error that it allowed us to enter before the official announcement and it throws out our entries?

And I am worried that I shouldn't enter again in a few days because then it would be 2 entries.

:sad2: I need to get a life.

So does this mean new packages?? When will they post? I hate not booking yet cause the packages are out.

My Disney Dream...
All inclusive package with dining, tickets, acomidations, disney bucks to spend...and airfare. Not asking much just want my son's first trip to be the best Disney can do for him!!! :thumbsup2

So all this hype is just over a sweepstakes?? I mean, I've always fantasized about staying in Cinderella's Castle but I'd be more likely to get struck by lighting than to win that dream! I'd call it the "Don't Count On It Sweepstakes" rather than the "Year of A Million Dreams Sweeps"...I will of course be entering though, I've got nothing to lose! BTW, I thought all those attractions were opening for The Happiest Celebration On Earth...they're making it sound like they are opening all those new attractions for this new celebration :confused3

Here is a quote from the Official Rules:

"ENTRY: You may only enter this Sweepstakes via the Internet beginning at 12:01 a.m., June 7, and ending at 11:59:59 p.m., July 31, 2006."

As long as you entered after midnight you should be fine.

Oh No! This means the ticket prices will kill all of us. The cost will definitely be seen in the prices of the packages and dinning too.

I can see it now- Tickets 75.00
Dining- 75.00
Stuffed Mickey Mouse 8" doll- 45.00
Refillable Mug- 35.00
Toilet Paper-free but band-aids will be 10.00 a piece(if you know what I mean!:rotfl2:

and of course a whole new line of souveniers with the "Dreams Come True" slogan!

If they improve the website to include a feature like the Busch Gardens website has where you can select the attractions you want to visit and it gives you a list. I liked that for our first visit there. I found it easier than trying to figure things out on a map! (Not that I need a map any longer at WDW, but for first time guests it would be great!)

Why does everything have to be about nemo? I am not a nemo fan, so there isn't much they are adding for everyone that would make me excited.

I am really sort of bummed out. I already know that I would never have a chance at winning a prize, big or small I just dont win things and the thought of winning something like this ..... ummm .... ya, well that happens to other people not me.

And I was wondering, all these "little" treats that no one really knows what they are, do you have to be IN the park to win them? How cool would it be if they sent AP holders a random treat (again wouldnt be me).

All I can say is I sure do hope someone from DIS wins so I ( yes I am nosey) can hear all about how great it is/was!!

I am in a quandry here. Could someone please set me straight?

Are there two different contests? One is a random selection (how might they be selected?) and awarding of different dreams for the next year or so, starting in October??

The other is a contest where the winner is to be selected and notified sometime from Oct 1st-4th? The reason I am concerned is that we are going to be AT WDW those dates. I put that fact in my profile where the address is supposed to be. I would hate to get home and find out I had won. lol

If there are two different contests do you enter both or is one enough? It took me forever to get onto the submit area.

Slightly Goofy, who is grateful for any help at all.

I know exactly what you mean...They make it sound as though the Year of a Million Dreams is something seperate from the Disney Dreams Giveaway but they both sound like contests,...I don't get it. What's the differnece between the 2? Are there 2 different contests we have to enter??? The article confuses by phrasing it as so:
"For more information about the "Year of a Million Dreams" celebration and the "Keys to the Magic Kingdom" promotion"
"Another million dreams will be awarded to Disneyland and Walt Disney World guests through the "Disney Dreams Giveaway," a separate promotion that will run throughout the 'Year of a Million Dreams.'"
"In addition, during the year-long celebration, other Disney dreams both large and small will be awarded in the "Disney Dreams Giveaway" promotion, such as:..."
:confused3 They speak of it as if there are 2 seperate promotions but they both sound the same to me! Can anyone possibly explain to this us???
