what is the FE?
Hi Chris and Shawn,
I've volunteered to organize the FE so I thought I would jump in and tell you a little about it. FE=Fish Extender. When you cruise with Disney, they have a fish symbol beside every stateroom. Disney uses it to deliver future cruise notes, invitations, etc. . . People started organizing a gift exchange and use the Fish Extender as part of it. Many people buy/make a pocket holder of some sort and hang it from their fish. One year, I used a Christmas Sock though, lol.
If you sign up for a FE group, you are part of a group that gives/receives gifts of all sorts. If there are 20 cabins in your group, you will make/buy/put together 19 gifts to give to the other 19 cabins in your group. You should also receive 19 gifts from the other cabins.
Each cruise/group organizes how they want to do it. Some make it 1 gift per stateroom, others give to every person in the cabin. Some state you must deliver your gift on XYZ date, others state you can deliver anytime. I'm collecting every cabin that wants to participate and then you will receive the cabin numbers and people who are part of your group, so you know where to deliver your gifts.
Any type of gift is allowed, you are only limited by your creativity. In the past, we've given/received: Candy, ship kits, photo albums, photo frames, music cds, something specific to the giver's geographic location (I gave out mini kangaroo magnets when I lived in Australia one cruise). It's up to the giver as to what they want to give. I plan to collect info on any allergies so that people know not to give certain things. Like if I had a peanut allergy, people would probably not want to give me nuts

Hope that helps. If you have any specific questions, please ask.
