Magical Southern Caribbean ~ 9/20/14

A co-worker of mine did the bio-lum. bay kayaka adventure about 3 yrs ago and said that it was the most exciting thing she had ever done!!! Just wish we had more time in OSJ that would allow us the opportunity to take this adventure. Can't wait to hear all about it when we are on the ship....

That is one of the activities on our list of must do's while in San Juan. A co-worker told us about it, when we first mentioned going to San Juan. Other possible places are the forts, the barcardi factory, Old San Juan and El Yunque rain forest.
Haven't begun to look at how many days we are going to spend there before or after the cruise. It'll depend on flights. It'll be an all day travel day, possibly more for us from Western Canada.

Booked our flights. We fly into San Juan on the 18th mid-day and leave the 27th after disembarking. Can't wait!

I don't think I introduced my family yet. I am Stacy and this is our first time on a Southern Caribbean cruise, but our 5th Disney cruise. It will be me, my DH Dan, and DD's Angelina (who turns 13 on the cruise) and Chloe who will be 10 when we sail. We would love to participate in FE. I can see I have a lot of catching up to do on this thread.

Welcome aboard Stacey and family!

This will be our 4th Disney cruise and also our 1st Southern Caribbean. We've cruised many times throughout the Western Caribbean both on Disney and RCCL and have always wanted to cruise the Southern Caribbean. When this cruise was 1st posted, we jumped at the chance to be onboard for new adventures.
There hasn't been much talk lately about a FE, but I would also be interested to know how many others are interested in a FE group.

Wow, flights already? Got me looking and I decided to grab flights to SJU now as I don't think that rate will get any better. Arriving on the red-eye from Portland on Thursday morning.

Can't believe that Thanksgiving is upon us. Just wondering who's planning what as we celebrate Thanksgiving. Mark and I will be going out to dinner with my family. It will be nice to send time with everyone!

We have now purchased both our outbound and return flights, plus reserved the Sheraton for Thursday and Friday nights. Seems much more real now!

We have done the biobay with Kayaking Puerto Rico and it was so fun and exciting! Kayaking down a river in the dark and almost getting hit running into tree branches, then paddling out into the bay. Quite adventurous for us! This time we might get a tour to the rain forest, or just hang out in OSJ.

Hey everyone! This'll be our first time doing Southern Caribbean (although we stopped in PR on the Fantasy last year) & our 9th Disney cruise! Looking forward to meeting everyone!

We are also booked on this Southern Cruise. We are traveling in January on the Fantasy (first time) so we have been focused there. Fantasy Fish extenders are just now done when it occurred to me that we have another DCL trip this year.

We will get back to planning for this one after that cruise, but we love the classic ships, especially the Magic. We took the 2nd inaugural cruise on the Magic. This will be our 9th DCL Cruise.

We just had to move to this cruise from the 9/27 cruise due to a scheduling conflict, but we're super excited to be on the Southern Caribbean itinerary!!

Our group has 4 rooms with 9 adults and no kids!!

Some of us will definitely be joining in on the FE fun!!

Half of our group is from Wyoming and the other half is from Puerto Rico!!

We look forward to meeting you all, and if anyone has information on how to sign up for FE, that would be greatly appreciated!!

We're flying in on Friday night, but we will have a couple days in PR after the cruise.

Started checking flight times for arrival into San Juan. We were thinking of flying in on Friday so that we could enjoy the sites of Old San Juan before the cruise. Was wondering when others were planning on arriving.
