Magical Oct 4, 2014 Southern Caribbean

Good Morning Everyone  We set sail in 537 Days. :yay::woohoo:
Mondays question is...........have any good tips ? Could be for parks, flying, traveling by car, cruising. 8 years being on these boards and I am still learning new things. :goodvibes

My answer: For cruise I bring my own coffee mug and cup for drink station. The cups are just to small and it cuts down the trips to drink station. I pour dish soap on a sponge and let it dry. Once dry I cut sponge into 4 pieces and put into a ziplock baggie. ( I use 2 sponges for 8 ) then when I clean my cup I just take piece of sponge and put under water to clean my cup. Easy to pack and use. I did this on our last cruise and it worked great ! :)

I love that idea. I have thought about it for late night but I don't want to carry it all day, and don't wanna run it back to the room always. How do u handle that????

Let's see....tip. hmmm. Bring your own travel(sheets or pods ) of laundry detergent. Cheaper and no worries of allergic reaction to sensitive skin. Also my kids bring holders for wave phones that strap across them ....helps lesson the risk of losing them.

I don't seem to have my larger cup with me all day. :confused3 I had to think about you question and the best answer I have is...........if it needs to go back to the room my DH brings it. :rotfl2: I use it for the pool, lunch and in room for late night snacks from room service. I wash cups before going to bed. My DH also goes to fill the cups and bring back to the room. Maybe that's why he likes deck 7 aft. :rotfl2: I have a great husband ! :lovestruc

Wave phone holder..another great idea. I'm going to get one! Even as adults only traveling we have started using the wave phones to get in touch with other couples we are traveling with and if I don't have a pocket, I struggle as to where to carry it.

I don't have a tip right now, but I'm thinking...

My tip is to spread the magic. The world is a better place when you help make it so.

Ok friends, remember my dilemma about adding our soon to be adopted daughter? I couldn't add her until I had information on who she was. Well guess who has info!!! Her birthday is Dec 20,2011. So she is added just fine!
For more info about her http://mama-hao.xanga.com/772703285/never-put-a-period-where-god-puts-a-comma/ :cool1::cool1::cool1:

That is so wonderful!!! She is precious:love:
This is one of my favorite adoption quotes:hug:

The Gift of Life

I didn't give you the gift of life,
But in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.

For us to have each other
Is like a dream come true!
No, I didn't give you
The gift of life,
Life gave me the gift of you.

My tip is to spread the magic. The world is a better place when you help make it so.

:thumbsup2 Agree !

Dear Guests,

We are glad that you have joined us aboard the Disney (Choose Ship)!

As you may be aware, it is important to us to keep our facilities looking their best for all our guests. As part of our commitment to this area of focus, we ask that you do not affix anything to your stateroom door utilizing tape or any adhesive, including removable gel adhesives. We have found that these adhesives damage the finish on our stateroom doors; therefore we ask that you limit door decoration to those of the magnetic variety.

Concurrently, we ask that guests not use over-the-door hanging organizers as they have been found to scratch and/or disfigure stateroom doors and trim.

Guests found with damaged doors are assessed a $100 damage fee per incident to cover the cost of repairs.

Your attention to this matter will greatly assist us in keeping our shipboard environment looking ship-shape. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Guest Services, Deck 3 Mid-ship.

If interested, magnetic door decorations are available for purchase in our merchandise area. For your convenience, magnetic strips are also available at Guest Services.

We appreciate your cooperation and hope you have an enjoyable sailing.

Sincerely,

Adorable little one. On our 2009 cruise --my now friend Kristi was adopting their 2nd DD and going through that with her was priceless. My DD does cheer and tumble lessons with a 12 yr old who was adopted from China and her mother and I had a wonderful conversation last week about the process. I am so excited for u!!:yay:

The door magnets needing to be magnets isn't new, but the over the door shoe organizers ban is new.

Good Morning Everyone :goodvibes We set sail in 530 Days ! :woohoo::cheer2: Today is Monday so that means it's time for a question.

Since we will be finding out more information about the dry dock for the Magic in a couple of days...........What would you like to see done on the Magic. If you haven't sailed the Magic or cruised before then ask a question that you would like to know about the Magic.

My answer; Bedding :cloud9: We loved the bedding on the Fantasy and I hope they update on the Magic. I would also like to see the Aqua Duck but I don't think they can do that.

Hmm Well I have heard the Aqua duck rumor... I am hoping a smaller version. But mostly I would like to see the kids clubs redone. My DD has been in the clubs since 2 and is gonna turn 10 in Jan. 5 cruises same old clubs. I guess mostly since when she first started they seperated the kids by age..now its 3-10 yr olds... that is a LARGE gap! I think they need to offer things only for the 8-10 range that is more intriguing to them instead of kiddie things.....seperate the 3 yr olds from the 8-10 yr olds!! Just don't get rid of the pirate slide as that is a major hit with all ages...:thumbsup2

Although I have yet to be on the Magic, I am hoping that she will get some of the tech upgrades of her newer sisters.

We are scheduled to sail on the voyage right after she gets out of dry dock, so I will be sure to let you all know what we find. :):)

:sad2: I love bringing my over the door shoe holder ! Thanks for sharing. Time to figure out something else I can do.

I have seen some ideas on the PC thread. One - put a dowel thru the grommets and then hang with shoe laces on one of the hooks or in the closet. Two - use twine thru the grommets and loop them over the bathroom door and tie onto the hook on the inside of the door. DISers will get creative and save damage but still be able to keep us organized. :thumbsup2
