I'm not spending that kind of money just to be near the port. We want to stay two nights before the cruise so we can look around some.
Even though it's not near the port, I found the Doubletree for $118 a night with an advance purchase. It's a cab ride to the port, but for two nights it will save me money even with the cost of a cab. It's located closer to the beaches.

This was not what I was expecting.
Did I do something wrong ?
With us only going the day before we are looking to stay near the port. That could always change though.

sorry.

My Sat getting onboard runs the same everytime--not neccessarily a tradition but --get onboard, get tea tickets, go to lunch at Parrot, unload carry ons in stateroom, send kids to pool with DH, unload any luggage that has came to my room(i unpack all before dinner...makes my cruise run smooth), go to Dis meet, go to Muster drill, Sailaway party and dinner....LOL yep very structured...but that's me
