We just changed our cruise dates & booked this one. My hubby & I first cruise. We are so excited!!! We will be celebrations my 40th birthday. We are on the 2nd dinning time. We are interested in fe exchange. I added the request for the fb page. So excited! Only 540 something more days

Monday's Question...........Do you have a tradition or a must do that you do on a cruise? Something not to be missed ?

On our first sea day we always try and go to the Cove to read. So nice to just sit as a couple in the silence and drink coffee with no kids around!

We also try and do the rainforest room once a day before dinner, and we always get a Christmas ornament we also try for trivia of some kind at least once.

Good Morning Everyone 544 days before we set sail.

Monday's Question...........Do you have a tradition or a must do that you do on a cruise? Something not to be missed ?


We have one that we have done on every Disney cruise. I always buy a scrapbook and have the captain sign the inside cover. It also helps to store any photos inside so they won't get bent.

This will only be my second cruise, but I think we liked exploring the ship and sitting out on our veranda!

Then we go straight to signals and I order my first BBC of the cruise. Then we're officially on vacation! We sit out there by the pool and get chicken fingers or wraps for lunch until 1:30pm when our room is ready. Then we go to our room and unpack.

Tropical rain forest. I think the only time we missed was our Superstorm Sandy cruise. Some cruises we practically live there.

We tried the rain forest on the Fantasy in November. It was pure heaven. We really enjoyed the hot tubs, we always had them to ourselves. I don't think the magic has the hot tubs.

Uh oh...can anyone confirm or deny if there are hot tubs there on the Magic? That was my favourite part of it on the Dream; being able to get in one! The public ones were always full when we went by.

There are not hot tubs in the Rainforest on the Magic. You can rent the couples spa with a private hot tub for some serious $$. There are times when the hot tubs at the adult pool are not crowded. You need to keep in mind that there are way more people on the new ships using the "public" ones than on the Magic.

You are correct. No hot tubs on the Magic and there is not an ocean view. I like them both, but my husband is partial to the one on the classic ships. His favorite thing is the heated chairs.

I wish we had that sea day at end of cruise to relax. Agree with it being a different kind of cruise. It's going to be an adventure with lot's to see and do. Did I just sound like Mickey ?

Good evening everyone. Kinda blah here today....would have liked to have stayed under a comforter all day...but instead I stayed listing stuff on eBay. Dd(12 almost13) made cheer for football and basketball next year so tons of stuff to pay for!!!!!!! The kinda bad thing is if she makes it again next year for freshman year....we might have to switch to another sailing ....it would conflict otherwise. So I have some research to do in the next week's & chat with my friend to see how and if this would work. I would be happy for Syd but sad about this cruise. It stinks I wouldn't know till this time next year!!! Arrrrrgghh

Wow Michelle what a tough spot to be in. I can't imagine planning a cruise for a year then having to change it. Hope things work out so can keep this cruise. How does Syd feel about it ?

She wants cheer. She knows that it will be replaced with another cruise. My girls are spoiled, I mean cheer is at school and its awesome to be a cheerleader. She knows it's not like we wouldn't be doing another cruise , they kinda take it for granted!!! I am more worried about my friend(robin) going without me. We have vacationed together since 2009. Arrgghh. We will see what info I get in the next few weeks.

Dont worry about me. I am glad Syd made cheer. That is awesome Just talk to your friend who is a cheer coach and see what type of insight she can give you on games and the schedule. It may be possible that you can still go. If you have to switch your cruise around then that's just what you have to do in order to be a cheer mom
I just found out that my cousin booked this cruise and my other cousin is contemplating booking. And Norma said if she cant make this Christmas cruise, then this is also the one she will go on. So I will have plenty of company....but it still wont be the same without you
