Hi everyone!

On our last trip (our wedding on DCL and post wedding trip to WDW) we were lucky enough to receive TWO "Magical Moments" certificates- one on the cruise that was given to just me by my hairdresser after doing my hair for my wedding and one when we were at WDW with our bride and groom ears on and we were given one and escorted into the beauty and the beast show where we got front row seats and got to be "royal family of the day".

Who else has ever gotten one of these? What was the experience you got it with? Just curious because I didn't really know about them before we went on our trip this time!

P.S. I'd also love to hear about "unoffical" magical moment- just awesome stuff that happened to you on your trip : D

In 2005 they still had the Tarzan show in AK. My son was 12 and my daughter 9. We went in and took seats about 3/4 of the way up with nobody else around us. We were sitting there talking quietly and a CM came and asked if the kids wanted to be King and Queen of the Jungle and open the show. They said sure so she moved us down to special seating so she'd know where to come get them. I can't remember what they said now to open the show but i guarantee you it is the only time my son ever voluntarily stood in front of a bunch of people and spoke! They both got a certificate and a coupon for McDonald's fries of all things.

Unofficially on the same trip my daughter got to say magic words to open 1900 Park Fare for dinner. That trip is my all time favorite trip. I managed to score CRT dinner on my daughter's birthday and kept it a surprise and we walked out of the castle just as MVMCP was starting.

We were the first family to arrive at Boma @ AKL for supper on night in late August 2015. They told us we were 'the family of the day'. We were given a special table (near buffet) and they brought us to the table in a parade. My oldest, shy teen DD was mortified :scared: as she didn't want the attention, but my younger, outgoing teen DD was so excited to be the center of attention! They introduced us as the family of the day from Ontario Canada and gave us a certificate. They played drums and sang while we proceeded to our table. Really a fun experience over all.
Once (in August 2014) we barely made it to the Festival of the Lion King at AK (my favourite show). We were just let in and they guided us to front row seats. They asked if we had ever had front row seats before and we said no, then we were told we were in for a treat. They were right! It was fantastic. Any my father was chosen to be the warthog (make the funny sounds). He never would have been chosen if we weren't assigned the front row - pixie dust:-) pixiedust:
Last year we went to use the ladies room in Akershsus. When we came out, Belle was sitting with my 70 something father having a conversation just outside the restrooms. He was in heaven lol :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

We have had so many magical moments that it is hard to remember them all!

A few that stand out in my mind happened in 2008 when my DH, sister, parents and uncle all went to Disney together. It was the year of a Million Dreams (or something like that). Our first magical moment was when we were in line to ride Living with the Land. The wait was approximately 30-35 minutes and a cast member came right up to our family and handed us fast passes that we could use one hour from that moment. It was really cool because we were in the middle of the line and were just picked! Once we left that line with our new fast passes in hand we went to ride The Sea with Nemo and Friends. While waiting in line for the ride a cast member starts handing out lanyards to the people in from of us. Once we got to where the cast member was standing he handed us a lanyard as well. The lanyard was a Dream Fastpass. It allowed us to go up to every ride with fast pass and get in the fast pass lane one time. (It had little tabs that were removed as we used it for each ride.) Later on that same trip we were riding Rockin' Rollercoaster at DHS. My uncle was separated from us and had to ride in a different car. He came off the ride wearing his own set of Mickey Ears that he had been given from another cast member.

This last trip was magical because of some other guests. Two separate times we were approached by total strangers who gave us fast passes for meeting Tinkerbell and also Soarin'. Both fastpasses were good until June 30th and we were unable to use the Soarin' fast passes. On our last day we tried to pay it forward. I found a mom and her son in AKL as we were leaving and gave them paper fast passes for Soarin', Splash Mountain and Frozen. They were so excited as all 3 fast passes were so hard to get. :cool2:

Edit: I forgot about my son's first trip to Disney back in 2014! We had just checked into BLT and went to the Contemporary to get something to eat. While we were there a cast member picked us to be the Family of the Day. We ate at a table with a table cloth and "real" silverware. They had flowers on the table and took our picture. It was really exciting.

Back in 2002 we went on DCL with our 3 kids and my MIL and FIL. We got there to board early and my kids were asked if they would like the start the cruise. They did a count down, we boarded the ship first and were given a small Mickey Mouse Figure and an official first family certificate. It was pretty cool! They still talk about it today.

I have a small one, but my friend and I were waiting for our 7DMT FP window to open and were at the back side of the ride. It was hot and my friend sweats a lot, so he carries a small towel around and wipes his head a lot. He had the towel over his head when a CM comes out of Gaston's Tavern with a LaFeou's brew and says, "You look hot, my friend," and gave it to him gratis. We had actually planned to stop for one after the ride anyway, but it was a nice little surprise.

Last November we went with my family, my parents and my brother's family - all 9 of us. went to get on 7DMT and dad was the single rider. We all got into our seats and the train started to go when we all started saying where's dad? Somehow he didn't get on the train with the rest of us and was still standing waiting to load when all of a sudden a CM realized what happened and yells re-ride for this family! When we got off they had us wait until dad's train returned then had all of us go right back on the ride so that he could experience it with us! So now we keep thanking dad for getting left behind and letting us have back to back rides :)

As for the certificates, DD and DS each received one on summer - we were the first family to open the Toy Store in DTD. We were picked to be in their opening picture. DD was asked to turn on all the lights and was also given a small Minnie figure and DS was asked to be in the engineer and start the train for the day. He was also given a small engineer figure with his Certificate.

We've had other include a room upgrade, then one time we were buying Mickey bars and told that our money wouldn't help because Mickey was buying ours that time and other moments as well but these above are my favorite.

We also had a time where my kids had a chance to chase bubbles and play with Peter Pan but I've posted about that a couple other times so I would be repeating myself but that is my ALL TIME FAVORITE DISNEY MAGIC MOMENT :)

YDS has a magical moment certificate and a special Mickey bead for completing all of the AKL activities (like 10 of them) across Jambo and Kidani on one trip.

We've had our fair share of magical moments through TONS of trips, and living in Florida for a year (and getting to know some magical people). Some of them are super little like:
-my Mom's 80 year old friend was celebrating her birthday and on our first trip into MK, a cm stopped us on the way through the turnstyles and sang her happy birthday while sprinkling her with pixie dust. It was such a cute moment, and made Ann so happy.
-Another one from that trip which sticks with me is at MNSSHP, we were lined up to meet Cruella, and Ann was dressed as Cruella, she turns around to me and just squealed of excitement before she went up to meet Cruella
-Same trip, we met Peter & Wendy, my Mom told him she was dressing up like him for the party and he got her to crow with him
Little things like that I really love, and consider magic!
-First trip with Mom, she goes to dance with Baloo during MiSi, but gets blocked by some teenagers, she started to walk away all defeated and Timon pulls her back in and continued to only have eyes for her and dance with her for the rest of the show
-A birthday trip for my other 2 friends, but not me, a cm was giving them cupcakes, and threw in an extra one for me so I didn't feel left out
-One hot day waiting for parade I grabbed a bottle of smart water from a cart in MK and the cast member said "it's on Mickey" like, even things like that I consider to be magic lol. It really is all about perspective, and positivity for us!

The bigger things include:
-The bff and I dance, and were curious to find out more about dancing for disney, so I jokingly suggested that she ask the CM working dream along with mickey about meeting the dancers. She actually did it, and we ended up meeting them!! It was absolutely amazing and magical and I still can't believe it happened.
-Sitting VIP for FOLK is an experience I WILL NEVER forget either, as if the show isn't amazing enough, getting to be that close and IN the show is seriously insane. Also meeting that cast was an absolute dream, and because it was a complete surprise it was even more magical.

I'm not sure if you consider this a magical moment or not but a few years ago, when they still did paper fastpasses, my wife and I were checking TOT and RNRC wait times to determine which ride to fast pass and wait in line for the other. Suddenly out of nowhere a TOT employee walks up and says excuse me my suit case is very heavy (carrying an empty prop suitcase) and I was wandering if you could assist me carrying it to the top floor. Low and behold we followed the cast member through the gift shop, took the normal elevator to the boiler room and they let us on any elevator we wanted and got to pick our seat! It was the coolest thing ever and we have still never seen it happen again or heard of it happening to someone else!

Our last trip was over my DDs birthday. We were waiting for Tinkerbell and when they let us in, we were the only family. Tinkerbell spent 10 minutes with us without any other families in the room. When I thought back I do rmember the CM walking away for a minute before we went in so I am sure she set it up.

My family went to Magic Kingdom when I was a young teenager during Disney's 25th anniversary celebration (when the castle looked like a pink cake lol), and we were just sitting around when a cast member approached us and asked us if we wanted to be part of the show! We got to go on stage in front of a bazillion people holding signs (don't even remember what they said now!) and rubbed elbows with Mickey and the gang. Almost 20 years later and still such a vivid memory for me!
