yes... they still exist at Disney...in spite of what you read here..... Last week we stopped near Canad in Epcot to watch the lumberjack show(admittedly an awful replacement for Off kilter) but right after the show ended, a Whole bunch of characters paraded into the empty gate space right next door! surprise! no lines, just some fun pics with 8 characters!

i've been lucky enough to catch those characters once. They are training and are there almost daily from what I've read. I loved when we found it.

no set time. They just pop up. You have to be at the right place at the right time.

Yes,the "courtyard" of World ShowPlace is one of 3 locations in Epcot where "friends" of Characters do their training.

The other 2 areas are the International Gateway across from World Traveler and the area between American Adventure and Italy that leads to Backstage.

it is really cool to see some of the Magic Kingdom Characters such as the Stepsisters in Epcot!

I thought maybe it was an apology for that log show and the lack of awesomeness vs. Off Kilter...anyway the characters were a Mary Poppins penguin, Mickey,Donald,Daisy, Stitch, and Mr. Smee.... I dislike the show changes around Epcot, but I do like the popup surprise stuff..... ( I noticed all around Disney, those tradeoffs- in MK with all the hideous construction, there were more shows,parades,and things going on than I have ever seen, WAY more than you could see in one day,I figure it's a way of keeping the entertainment value up in spite of some pretty ugly construction,at DTD even tho it's in pretty rough shape, there were performers and entertainment around every corner,that's the stuff you don't see in updates and pics from the parks)
