Magical Express tag question - hold? Leaving tomorrow 6/11!

Hello all! I apologize in advance if this has been asked a million times. I can't find the answer. I posted this in the ME thread but haven't gotten an answer yet and I'm leaving early tomorrow morning!!

I've received two sets of tags in the mail. One says "DVC - AK Villas Kidani" and AK1-1. The other says "DVC HOLD - AK Villas Kidani" and they say AK1-2 and AK2-2.

The first was just one tag, the tag in my name, the bar code ending with 3114. The second set is two, because I added a friend to the reservation. She is driving in, not flying. The second set has two with two different names. The one with my name ends with 3110 and the one with my friends name ends with 3114.

What does the hold part mean? Which tags do I put on my bag? Does the number / name matter since they would both be heading to the same room? It turns out I am going to be checking two bags but don't have time to order new tags. Am I safe using two of these?

I would just go ahead and use the two tags with (my) name on them.

Yellow Magical Express tagged bags arriving at Orlando Int'l Airport are summarily removed to the resorts unsynchronized with guest movements. So the bags will get to your resort in as timely a fashion as is possible.

Had there been an obvious mistake on or needed correction for a tag, you may simply draw one line through it and write in the corrected information. (Don't draw through the bar code.) To avoid that extra maneuver, don't use the tag with your friend's name on it and use the other two instead.

If you really did not have enough tags and time was too short to order more, you could make duplicate tags using a scanner and a color printer. Laminate the copies using transparent packaging tape for needed durability and to prevent the ink from running if it got wet.

Great question Queenie. My tags also say this for a trip Sept 29. Did you ask someone why this happened while you were there? I rented my points and also have a flight landing at 905am. I wonder if either of those have anything to do with it? "Hold" my luggage to room is ready?

We had made changes to our resort stay and actually received two sets of tags. I called DME directly and asked which ones to use and they told us that it didn't matter since they can use the barcode to link to the reservation.

You can always call them and ask which ones to use if you are concerned.
