Magical Express on departure?

Could anyone tell me how the ME works when checking out? Do they come and get the bags or do we take them somewhere? Thanks for your help!!!!!

It depends on if your airline "participates" with Disney. If it does, you take them to the bell stand and there is a check in line for the airport. You get your boarding passes (I believe) and they take your luggage.

If your airline doesn't participate then you just take your bags with you to the bus and load them on, then get them once you get to the airport and check in yourself.

Also the day before you check out there will be a paper from the ME letting you know what time the bus will be there to pick you up. That helps in planning your last day. Usually the rule of thumb is 3 hours before your flight departure.

We used ME on our recent visit to WDW 3 weeks ago and was very pleased with the service. Hope you have the same service.

The two posts above are exactly how it worked for us on Saturday (7-16). The departure wasn't as smooth as the arrival. The bus filled up and there were people at the Poly and GF who had to wait for another bus. Make sure you are ready to get on the bus at the time directed by the paper you get the night before. Some people think its "too early", but don't realize that some natural delays are built in AND they are scheduled for you to be on that bus. If you take a later bus you may be taking someone elses seat!
