Magical Express not on arrival day?

Is there a way to ride Magical Express from the airport to the resort after the first day of one's stay?

We need a rental car for part of our trip, but want to return it halfway through when we drop off our DDs at the airport. Can we hop on ME to get back to WDW or will they turn us away? We're staying at Boardwalk Villas.

Any suggestions on how to make a reservation for it? Not sure the best way to present my situation to the phone agent.

Pick a flight, any flight, any airline, arriving in Orlando at about the time you want to take Magical Express.

The reservationist may or may not ask for it.

Yes you can. But, have you considered renting with Alamo/National? They have a counter at the Dolphin....very short walk from BW! That's what I like to do.
There are also various car rental counters in Dtd resorts. For instance, Budget is located at the Doubletree.
I would look at Alamo from the Dolphin first. That would be so much faster.

Just an update - I went to make a reservation with our concierge at Boardwalk. She tried but found out that to take Magical Express not on arrival day, you have to go to the desk at the airport and it's "at their discretion"

I was a bit nervous, but it could not have been easier. At ME they scanned our magic bands and whisked us onto the bus, no one even mentioned that we didn't have a reservation. The smoothest ME experience I've ever had.

Next time just call. My boyfriend never arrives or leaves with me. Next trip his DME reservation is 2 days after I check in and one day before I leave. No problem as long as his name is on reservation

Technically it is a violation if their agreement with MCO if they let you on DME without a reservation
