Magical Cupcakes

So this isn't a survey, but whomever wants to put their two cents in please do. My family for years have always had a tradition when entering the Magic Kingdom. We dash down mainstreet to the bakery for our traditional cupcake breakfast. This is how we always start of our day with a wonderful sugar rush which only Disney provide to us!

The unfortunate part of this whole tradition seems that it has sadly come to a end. Upon our most recent trip to Disney just a few days ago we walked very fast, eager to get that scrumptous frosted cake only to find out they are no longer serving them at the bakery. None of us knew what to do, how to act, what to order, what to eat! How were we going to start off our day? The poor cast member behind the counter didn't know what to do....in fact, her eyes bugged out when we became speechless, holding up the line. Personally, getting rid of those cupcakes is like getting rid of the Dole Whips or Turkey Legs. Now they have already gotten rid of the McDonalds French fries, this is not a staple item as it had been there for like forever. But this is important stuff! I'm very concerned about this whole cupcake problem.

Is anyone else out there a Disney mainstreet bakery cupcake fan? Do you rush for the pastry itself? Could this be a tradition that your family takes part of? Tell us your thoughts and concerns about this cupcake dismissal. Should we rally to have the cupcakes brought back to the mainstreet bakery? LOL I'm very distraught over this, are you?

Man, do I feel your pain. I hate it when my mouth is all watery for something special only to find it not there any more. We have traditions like that as well, one of them is the McDonalds fries between Pirates and Splash Mountain. I guess we will just have to find something else to snack on, darn!

How disappointing! It really frustrates me when they change around snacks or restaurants that have been there forever. If they expect visitors to form family traditions around going to the park, how do they expect that to happen if nothing's ever the same the next time you go? Traditions are built on doing the same things from trip to trip. I understand making it new and exciting- but you have to leave some of the traditions intact!

Fries were our afternoon SNACK and the cupcakes, well not every trip but YUMMY, what IS Disney thinking????
I shall have to absolutely FIND substitutes!!

You all are so funny! No reason to cancel any upcoming trips; I know I won't be doing that for my June/November vacations. It is just disappointing to say the least. I really don't snack on junk and when I visit there are the few things I really look forward too. Oh well, Disney is constantly changing and guess I must change along with it. Boo hoo

There's definitely a McDonald's at DTD. Never been though.

This is not good. I look forward to my vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing as part of my arrival ritual on every trip. Please tell me they just ran out of icing that week and they were back the following week. Everytime I went to Roaring Fork to use my snack credit on one of those beauties it was hit or miss, so I often bought one at night to have the breakfast of champions that you refer to the next day. While I won't be cancelling any trips - maybe if we all tell Disney how crazy they were for taking them off the "Bakery" menu they'll bring them back. Please let Disney know that this is just wrong.

The thing I am concerned about are the chicken tenders now being nuggets. Though, I must admit, it seems tragic that they wouldn't have a cupcake in a bakery!!

Okay here is the plan! Hire a lawyer to launch a class action lawsuit!!!

Of course you have to include the McDonald's Fries Fans too! Oh this could be thousands of plantiffs!!!! Go for the money or at least FREE CUPCAKES and FRIES!

I never had the cupcakes and didn't know they even sold McD's fries there! Heck I didn't even SEE the McDonalds at DTD when I was there! At least I know it is there next time! Gotta have a BMA (Big Mac Attack) while there once!

Hey! I just got an idea....dress up as Pooh, go to Crystal Palace as soon as you get to MK and grab a couple French Toast Puffs then run as fast as Pooh can to get outta there!!!!! Seriously if they get rid of the FTPs I will hire a lawyer.
