Magical Character Interactions

My 5 year old DD played hide and go seek with Peter Pan and Captain Hook on Fantasy this past June. It was amazing!

Last week on the fantasy my dd5 had THE most magical experience the entire week on our cruise. 1st night Tiana was roaming around (non scheduled) and we were walking towards Pluto's line in Preludes (shopping district). Two little girls were talking to her. My daughter patiently waited behind them and when they left my dd asked if it was her turn to go up and Tiana grabbed her hand and just started walking away chatting with my daughter saying lets go find a quiet corner somewhere. They ended up in some corner near the atrium and sat right there on the floor for like 5 minutes with no one around just chatting. This is my daughter's favorite princess and this just made it even better. I have a video of it after the initial shock wore off that they were taking off with my daughter LOL. The entire week Princess Tiana would call my dd by her name and boy that just made my daughter's entire cruise.

My daughter is a character fanatic which is one of the reasons we cruise with Disney. She has had so many magical moments with the character's over the years it is hard to pick, but one sticks in my head. Several years ago we were on the EB Panama Canal cruise during Hurricane Odile. I was transferring her from her wheelchair when the ship lurched and we fell on hard floor. When we came out of the bathroom by the WD Theater we immediately had crew members there to help, but the special moment was when someone brought Pluto (her absolute favorite) and Goofy over and they sat with her and helped to calm her down while she was being checked out. They stayed with her for a quite a long time, just holding her hands...it still makes me tear up when I think about it. Thank you Pluto and Goofy (and whoever it was who brought them over!)

On our first cruise on the Wonder, Alice was wondering the decks "looking for the White Rabbit". She ran into my twins and then asked if they would have a tea party with her. She grabbed them by the hands and brought them to one of the spaces by the elevators where you can look down on the lobby. There they had a pretend tea party for a couple of minutes before she ran off again. Honestly, I don't think they knew who she was but my wife was in tears.

Too many to name but a lot of them involved special times with my favorites the chipmunks.
On one cruise they invited me for a special 20 min date with them at Studio Sea! Other favorite moments are usually during strolls, from laying in the sunchairs with Mickey, Goofy, Chipmunks (seperate occasions), over playing tabletennis with Minnie, running the deck with my chipmunks, hulahoopcontest with Lilo and Stitch, dancing on formal night with Dale at promenade lounge and many many more...
I literally cruise for the characters, not for the ports....
