Hi all, I have searched these boards and the internet extensively and I can't find much about these two rooms. We just switched to these two rooms for the Magic 5-night Mediterranean next summer so I wanted any feedback. (Or, if you stayed in 1046-1058, please weigh in too.) I did tag a few people who have stayed in these rooms from a few years ago but don't know if they're still on the boards. The stateroom reports on here are also dated and only for Wonder, not Magic.

We are mainly looking for QUIET. Don't care about being isolated at the bottom, don't care about walking lots of stairs. I am a light sleeper so my main concern is people noise and/or ship's noises (I don't mind things like coat hangers banging in the closet when the ship is trucking it, but I do mind loud engine sounds, doors slamming as a result of being near a crew traffic area, etc.)

Thank you so much for anyone who can provide advice about Deck 1, specifically between the midship and forward elevators.

We are booked in 1042 next year for the British Isle and WBTA, it is our first time staying on deck 1 but everything I read about the deck sounds great and very quiet. We had wanted to book the same room for our B2B on deck 2 but I could only find rooms on deck 1, in the end it will save us over $500.

We had 1075/1077 on Magic for our first cruise. Never heard noises from the passageway outside, and never had anything that I associated as engine noise. We would occasionally hear a quiet rumble; I believe it was maneuvering thrusters when we were pulling in/out of port. It wasn't loud enough to wake us up when pulling into Castaway Cay. We would happily book those two rooms again.

On deck 1 you will have very few people passing by your cabin. There aren't that many cabins on that deck and it isn't a deck anyone would be passing through to get to anywhere.

While deck 1 wasn't my first choice, I am looking forward to trying it out.
