Hi everyone! My husband and I are taking the last Med cruise from Barcelona on the Magic next September, We haven't been on the classic ships since the new ones arrived. I am debating whether to do the length of cruise pass, or, because the cruise is so port intensive, and a couple of days we will be gone 9-10 hours, just doing the one day passes. Is there anyone who has been on the Magic recently who can tell me what the price is for the length of stay for a couple is? Thanks for any help. Marybeth

I don't know the the price but I went on the Magic post dry dock and there are no ceramic heated lounges and no hot tubs in the spa area so DCL gave me a pass refund. To me that made it not worth it.

This is the first I've heard of the loungers being removed. I knew that it's not the same set up as Dream Class and no hot tub, but I thought they had the loungers.

We did the Med cruise this September and took the cruise long Rainforest pass and it was billed to our room at $227.74. There were definitely heated loungers as we used them! Originally we weren't going to get the cruise length pass for the same reason you said about it being a port intensive cruise. But when we saw it on boarding we decided to take the plunge and just made sure we used it each day (which we did). It was particularly useful on sea days when the adult pool area was overwhelmed with people and it proved a good place to get away from the crowds. Enjoy!

Thank you all for the information! mmfox316 I got scared there for a minute! It definitely wouldn't be worth it to me without the loungers! Duck In Blue Exactly the information I was looking for, thanks! Do you have any tips on the cruise or ports etc? We are thinking of doing some of the ports on our own, we have lived in Europe (Germany) in Europe for 7 years, so are comfortable with the public transportation etc., But part of me just wants to pay for the convenience of the DCL excursions! Did you stay in Barcelona prior to the cruise? If so, where did you stay, would you recommend it? I'm starting to look at hotels so I'll be making that decision soon too! Thanks again for the help.

No problem! We are comfortable using public transport too and travel to mainland Europe frequently too (we live in the UK) but opted to do DCL excursions. Using public transport a lot I know that sometimes it just doesn't work as planned and I didn't want the stress of a cancelled train (or worse) when we had to get back to the ship for a set. We did an excursion in each port, the one I would recommend most is Pompeii, Sorrento and Capri from Naples. This was the most expensive (we nearly cancelled it just before we went because of the cost) but we both said we enjoyed it the most, Capri particularly was stunning. We did stay in Barcelona the night before and although there was nothing wrong with the hotel, I wouldn't go as far as recommending it. The hotel we booked had a deal on eBookers and we were just looking for a decentish hotel in the city centre, the location wasn't great for sightseeing but suited us as we have been several times before and weren't looking to do any sightseeing.

I am in the process of writing a trip report (but I have been a bit slow updating it!) so will put more details and pics on there, but if you have any questions in the meantime feel free to ask!

I will also be on this cruise next September and I'm looking forward to your trip report. This will be our first Disney Cruise and first time to Europe so I welcome any info I can get!

Just returned yesterday on the Magic's 7-day cruise. My wife and I (I'm using her DIS account) took advantage of the 7-day rainforest pass and loved it. We did find it a challenge to use it every day (especially on port days), but it was extremely relaxing. The Senses staff will have a raffle on departure day and will explain their many services. The 7-day pass is limited (I think only 30 couple passes are sold to keep the rainforest area from becoming too crowded) and we purchased ours before the raffle. It's a very relaxing experience after a workout in the gym or a long day of excursions/activities, but we enjoyed the relaxation.

I didn't go in so I only know what I understood they said. I certainly could have misunderstood them.
