Magic Morning Park Confusion

I have always had great luck with the AM EMH's. Just make sure that if you commit to doing that you are actually there for rope drop so you can get the most good out of that hour. Those have been some of our most pleasant hours in the parks.

But some plan to do the EMH then run a bit behind and end up missing the best part, only to enter with the tons of other people coming in later in the morning. By then you are experiencing the down side of EMH.

Our experience has been very hit or miss with PH EMH. Sometimes things clear out. More often they don't, especially now that the PM EMH is only 2 hours instead of 3.

One other thing that makes that Morning EMH hour great is that there is no one with a FP+ competing with the standby line, so lines move quickly if there are any. Rope drop at a non EMH park has people with FP+ from the moment the park opens. With the old FP there was always a little time before the first FP return window opened. We do the EMH morning park, then hop to a recommended park where we use the FP+ we had reserved.

We are also early risers, we hit every Am EMH available and when the park starts getting crowded we hop to another park (usually one that is a recommended park) and we have 3 FP+'s set up there. This works for us.

We are DL veterans, but will be going to WDW for the first time in June. I keep reading in the touring plans to avoid parks with MM, but I am unclear if that is geared to people who don't have MM or everyone. We are a family of early risers and ALWAYS take advantage of MM when we go to DL. That time is just golden and are usually able to ride a lot.

Are things significantly different at WDW? Has anyone used theor MM at WDW and would they recommend it?

Thanks!

Cherice
Something that I've seen recommended many times is, if you have park hoppers, to go and take advantage of morning EMH, but hop to a different park in late morning/noonish. This gets you the advantage of the better ride access during EMH, and also helps you get out of the higher crowds as the day goes on.
