Magic Kingdom Swap - Progress - MORE MAILED ON 4/14!!!

Love it!!

how did you do the zipedeedodah dripping matte??

I used Sure Cuts A Lot for the shadow and then the regular words, and then took the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch (it's one of my favorites) to the regular words to get that effect. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Very cool... I was doing that on my Ice Cream but drawing it out the long way LOL in illustrator but now that you mention theres a punch... I look into that.

Where did you get your splash mountain pic from is that on a cartridge or something that you just made in a design program to cut on sure cuts a lot.

I think i'm going to make a CD of my stuff and give it out to everyone because you just inspired me on my collections of stuff you can cut out on the cricut!

The punches are addicting! Just ask.. everyone on this board. :rotfl:

And if you google things like "disney coloring book" they have sites that have black and white images like this - I've had this on my computer for the longest time, but it came from here:

And one more for the night... Group Q, Cinderella's Fountain: Photo Frame, Journal Box, and paper piecing.

The glue is drying on the crowns, that's why there's a paper clip there. That will not be there in the finished piece. :lmao:

Love that fountain !

Nice I didnt think to just take that and you just save it as a svg and cut it?

I was drawing everything and tracing everything out myself LOL

Thanks Buffy! You snuck in there while I was posting!

And thanks for the comment about vintage Mickey - I never thought of that, he doesn't look bad without eye whites. Goofy looks a little weird though. :rotfl:

I'm sneaky like that!
and yes, Goofy needs eyes but I think Mickey can do without. Maybe take a pic with eyes and compare?

Love that fountain !

What are you doing up so late??? Is bubba ok?

Awesome stuff, Danica!

Holly, did DH have to go out in the snow? So far, it's not much here, how is it over by you?

Love the splash mountain ZTH. It is Fabulous. Your other pieces are great too. Sad to say I am not in any of your groups.:sad2:

TIP 2

Unless you have real dial size on, there is a good chance you won't get a 4 inch letter. But, if you do have on the real dial size, the shadow won't match up right. I have been working in CDS -- to get a 4 inch C in the Winter Woodlands font, I need to cut at 5". I needed 4.5 inches for T in the Mickey font.

Not too much work to figure it out if you have CDS, but really pain if you don't. I can check sizes for those without CDS. Just send me a pm and indictate the letter and font you want me to check.

Big DITTO on that one. I designed one on my gyspy and when I cut it out it came out smaller than the 4. So I wasted some paper. I went back did it on cds and it came out to the 4 or a tad over with the mat. Then I went back to the gyspy to see what I did wrong and I did not put it on the real dial size. So when I did it cut out a little larger then the 4, but it was a lot better.

yes he is. Thanks for asking. My sister broke down coming home
from work and dh went to get her so I was up waiting for
him to come home and know that everyone is safe.

He did not go out. Nothing here for snow. He was out rescuing
my sister.

MickeyTeacher, I love them! I'm glad you didn't recut them, I think they're fine as is.

I really wish I had given in and signed up for altered letters now! Arg.

I have two groups done:

Splash Mountain: paper piecing (the eyes will be added later) & welded phrase/topper

Steam Train Tour: paper piecing/photo frame and journal box(es)

Nice pieces! Now, I'm sorry that I did not sign up for more groups!
S :)

What a good DH! I'm glad everyone is ok and safe.

Yes he is a good guy. Her husband has ALS and in a wheelchair
so my dh takes over in those kind of situations. But then
again he has always taken care of that sister!
I love him. He rocks!

Thanks! I can't wait to see how yours turns out - I don't know if I'd be able to make this much smaller.. I was freaking out trying to get Mickey's tongue out of the paper... haha.

And it was because of you that I bought the embossing folder that I used on the log... :rotfl:

Don't you love that embossing folder? I get so much use out of it.

My paper piecing won't be as detailed as yours -- I shouldn't even call it a paper piecing, it will be more of an embellishment to my altered letter. Mickey will probably be wearing an inked mouth.

And I loved your Castle Fountain pieces -- I'm also doing that category and haven't decided what to do yet.

The D is for group ZY. I used SCAL and KoolBeans font, 3 layers - the top is embossed , Donald was cut at 2" from the Mickey Font cart and is pop dotted

THe F is for group X. I used the Pooh wood font. I cut it 3 times, once for the brown layer and 2 of the top layer - -I cut one F apart and pop dotted it. I used the cricut markers.

P is for group V. Storybook font.

These are fun to make and pretty fast too. I have 2 other letters cut and ready to be assembled.
