Hi all, former easywdw trying to plan for the first time since we lost Josh. Since I hung on his every word it's fairly optimized as of where the theme parks were a few years ago. Post G+ we've only been to DHS for a single day trip so still getting my head wrapped around G+.

Staying off property at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

This trip is a binary star system: great niece 28 months & my mom age 83 mobility compromised by a broken hip last February plus she's getting more stubborn by the month. My niece, my 19 y.o., my 17 y.o., my sister, my brother-in-law and I will also be along for the ride. A chance my 90 y.o. dad decides to go but he's more mobile and was never really into Disney World like my mom. None of the rest of us will be a focal point or a limiting factor.

Columbus Day week. We'l be there a few days for swimming, Chef Mickey's & riding boats & monorails which was my 17 y.o.'s favorite his first trip back when he was two. If weather cooperates, our MK day will be the 2nd Saturday of Columbus Day week in hopes some Columbus Day crowds head home. Otherwise I'll need to work this into a MNSSHP Friday, which I'm avoiding because I think my mom can only handle a few hours in a theme park so better if we do a midday break to go pick her up.

(7am G+ 6x Pooh & 1x Meet Mickey monitor Mickey to bump back to 6ish)
8:30 Reach turnstiles (my mom still back at condo until after our midday break)
9:00 UtS journey of little mermaid (skippable if we run late or if we get 9 am WtP)
9 or 9:15 WtP on G+
(book G+ at tap 6x iasw... 9:30ish return? & 1x Meet Mickey monitor Mickey to bump back to 6ish)
9:30 Tea cups, Carousel 2x and iasw on G+ (actual order will prioritize early tap for iasw)
(book G+ at tap 7x Peter Pan 3ish return? monitor to bump up to 11ish or back to 8ish)
10:30 Enchanted Tales with Belle & maybe UtS before or after if we missed it in the morning
11:00 Lunch Harbour House maybe PP on G+ if we are lucky enough to pick it up
(~11:45 book G+ 7x Jungle Cruise... monitor to bump back to 7ish)
12:00 Dumbo I think a 30 minute line by this point, but I've read G+ is super slow. Do they still have beepers?
12:30ish Splash pad
1ish Board WDWRR 1:30-2:30 back to condo / 2:30-5:00 break incl quick dinner / 5-6 condo to MK
(~1:45 book G+ 2x Space 4x BTMRR 1x? monitor to bump back to 6pm & 7pm)
(~3:45 book G+ 7x Aladdin target 7pm)

6 Meet Mickey G+ & 6:25 Calvacade (teens to space on G+)
6:45 Jungle Cruse G+
7:00 Aladdin G+
7:15 Country Bear Jamboree (group to BTMRR G+)
7:45 PP G+ or DAS & iasw on DAS (possibly - still too early to book DAS)
8:30 Find a spot to watch 9 pm fireworks - any suggestions?

My great niece is pretty easy going for a two year old including pretty flexible on sleep. My mom can walk medium speed with a cane so easy enough to transfer her to Aladdin, iasw, and with as many adults as we have get her onto the boat at JC. Peter Pan's her favorite. But, I don't think they can slow the walkway so probably not be feasible unless she does more PT. Also my mom is very stubborn and anxious about using a scooter in crowds so she's likely to be in a wheelchair instead of on a scooter. Plus a chance she decides not to go at all, which means we would not circle back to Fantasyland in the evening and maybe going on a party day would be better.

We just went to Disneyland with my MiL. She had a car accident and leg injury earlier this year that she just finally started moving around with a cane last month. She had never operated a scooter until we were in Universal studios Hollywood, she rented from there, so didn’t even have a chance to practice beforehand, but she navigated pretty successfully. I think just once we had an issue with an out of control scooter, but that was my kid screwing around with it. Just some words of inspiration to try to get her going!

If she uses a wheelchair, will she operate it herself or need others to push her? MK has some good hills, especially going up main st that a scooter can easily navigate while it’d be difficult to wheel yourself up or even have someone push. Also, in USH, Harry Potter has a cobblestone street that would have been really bumpy in a wheelchair but fairly manageable in a scooter. Can’t remember if Mk has too many areas like that, but worth thinking about.

Anyway, I hope she gets to go! If she’s enjoyed it in the past, there’s no reason to let mobility prevent enjoying again! Sounds like you have a big group ready to go! Enjoy!
