I am taking my husband and 2 kids to Disney as a surprise trip for my husband's 40th birthday next week. I want to take them somewhere special on his actual birthday and discovered that Cinderella's Castle was booked. What would be a good second choice within that park for a special dinner?

Forgot to say that I have made a reservation at the Italian restaurant (can't remember the name--Tony something....) and if that's a good choice I'll just stick with it but would love to hear others favorites, too! Thanks in advance!

I find Magic Kingdom's TS restaurants to be kind of mehhh, especially for a special event. You may want to look into doing a restaurant at one of the resorts on the monorail. I suggest checking out the menu for 'Ohana at the Polynesian to see if that's something your family would enjoy.

Got to agree with the suggestion to go to one of the MK resorts instead. There are many good choices there - much better than Tony's. You may want to read the dining reviews here when trying to decide. :disrocks:

I agree with the above. The Magic Kingdom restaurants leave much to be desired. I'd hop on the monorail and have dinner at the California Grill.
