Hi thanks for the information I think we bought the 20 credit when we was on the wonder Am I right in thinking that it was 1 credit for the small photo and 2 for the lager photo or something like that? I can't believe how I have forgot it was only 1 1/2 years ago.:cloud9:
I think if the pictures are good and we have a lot taken I am going to buy the cd on the first cruise then buy a few pictures on the second cruise. I will just have to budget for it before we go.

You are correct in that the 6x8 are 1 credit and 8x10 are 2 credits. We were amazed that a lot of background pictures that used to 6x8 became 8x10 after this change in the way shutters charges for pictures. :scared1: Always about the $ for Disney.
If you are thinking of buying a CD then I would attend every photo op you can to get your best value. You can easily get three or four photo ops between 5pm and 5:45pm with several characters/princesses/white bachgrounds.

FYI, I just noted over on the Cruise TT site that there are now 4 ships scheduled to be in St Thomas the same day the Magic is including NCL Sun, Carnival Valor and Freedom of the Seas for a total of 11,846 guest to the island. Not sure if this means we will have to tender in or not. There was tendering for St Thomas over the winter when there were a bunch of ships on the same day. I looked at our itinerary on the DCL site and it does not mention tendering. If we dock it will be over at Haversight and if we tender we will be dropped off directly into Charlotte Amalie.

Is this a good thing or bad? And does it change your excursions? lol...though we've not chosen any yet...

First we do not know if we are tendering. It was only an observation that tendering is now a possibility since Havensight docks 3 ships. Good or bad depends on what you had planned for St Thomas. Tendering takes longer and you have to get back earlier. If you are on a DCL excusion then DCL will adjust and you do not have to do anything. The biggest difference is where you are dropped off. Havensight is a few miles from the main town (ie shopping) Charlotte Amelia. Tendering drops you off directly in town. If you had only planned to go shopping then tendering is a positive as you now will not have to take a taxi over to town. If you were planning to go Paradise Point then instead of being a short walk away in Havensight you would have to take a taxi to. So the answer is it depends.

Thanks:thumbsup2....never been 'tendered' :goodvibes, so that in itself would be an adventure!! Know we won't really be into 'shopping' , and think we did the skyride in St Thomas, so if so...we'll find something to do! Snorkeling, and/or sightseeing...as you can see, really don't care!

Just a heads up folks.. we always, always have some sort of 'adventure' happen on all our vacations, so BE ready... after all "We're all in this together"...:rotfl:

Here is what USVI tourism site says:

Where You're Docked
During particularly busy times (i.e. January through March), your ship will dock at Havensight, the primary dock for cruise ships, or Crown Bay, which opened a new port facility in early 2007. If more than six ships call on St. Thomas in one day, your ship could be anchored in the harbor; the tenders will drop you in the heart of Charlotte Amalie

Princess cruises now uses the 'new' Crown Bay Point dock. It is only a half mile further from downtown, but in the other direction. No problem getting taxis. I prefer Havensight Mall for shopping, and if at Crown Bay and not going to town, don't plan on doing much shopping at all. There are only about 20 stores total. But, it's still easier than tendering.

With all the talk about photos, can someone please post the list of prices?

The system's changed since my last cruise and I already know we won't be getting a CD but ballpark figures would be great. :thumbsup2

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the week again. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

The new pricing system works as follows:

6x8 = Arm
8x10 = Leg
CD = Onslow
:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Actually it is as follows:

6x8 = 1 credit
8x10 = 2 credit

:rotfl2: Funny guy Dan....

that 6x8 cost more than Onlsow did :lmao:

Thanks for the info. Now, I have to decide how many credits to get and factor that in. Fun cruise ahead. Good thing we're only a family of 2. That means I don't have to justify the money for the CD. Can just skip it. :thumbsup2

Y'all are hysterical:rotfl: !!!! We won't be doing the CD for sure! And we love taking a bunch of our own pics (some of us don't think we're photogenic anyway) so hopefully one or two will come out!

May our 30 weeks left FLY BY!!!!:yay:

Kinda quiet around here. Time for another shameless picture bump.

Magic at CC. The little boats in front say parasailing so this is most likely where you have to go for this excusion.

Nice pic. You got one of one of the rare times it pulled in bow first.

Thanks. :thumbsup2 We have been lucky to get bow first twice. It is quite a sight. The first time it must have been a long time since a lot of the crew commented on it. We have also been stern first 4 times (2 Wonder and 2 Magic). After getting caught in CC last year I would doubt we will be seeing this again. The only bad thing about bow first is if you planned on a starboard side cabin then your view of CC is of the dock instead of the beach.

Out of the 8 times I have been to CC, always stern in. Not that I really care, just it would be nice to see something different. I always book inside rooms so I would not be bothered if it pulled in bow first.
