I guess I should search the threads, but gotta ask anyway...what restaurant is on deck 9 that you're eating from? Is that the welcome aboard feast that I saw a few posts back? And do you do Palo w/o the kids? Where and when do they eat if you do? Talking about Courtney and Emily's age...
And is deck 3 where guests services is to make/change ressies for everything (like excursions, Palo, spa, etc)? Don't flame me..just too tired to do a search and see!
Just so you know everyone...my sweet 22yrdd bought me a journal so I could start jotting down all y'alls notes! Now do I dare go back all these pages?
Probably~ but not tonight!
And...I'm so excited! We booked our 'free' (yep, due to the inlaws' skymiles cc) flights yesterday! All I've got left is the rental car, and I have NO idea how far out I need to book that!
But thanks for all the tips so far!!! Love all these pics!!!

Embarkation Lunch = Deck 9?
Topsiders is on deck 9. You can also choose to hit Plutos for burgers/chicken fingers or Pinnochios for pizza on deck 9. As KellyJeanDVC mentioned you also have the choice to go to Parrot Cay for lunch. We will be at topsiders sitting on the back deck with a view of cape canaveral. I would not worry which you choose. There are no wrong choices. Do what you want to do and works best for your family.

What is this second picture? The port?
Glad you had fun. Like previously posted, after DW experience in Cabo, I dont care how much I would save, I will only book with DCL. On the flip side, beaches have little interest since I live a mile from one, so I don't need vacation to spend time on the beach.Love St Thomas!! We were there last week (on a Princess Cruise). Nothing beats a shore excursion to Magen's Bay! We can hire a taxi there & back, and spend as long as we want at the beach. On the way back we stop in town for a bit of shopping. We spend less than booking with DCL and still have a wonderful time. Oh, haven't been online in a couple of months. Welcome to all the newbies!!

Acctualy it is aan. It should have been my name of Alan but for some stupid reason I left out the L. After Cabo I an not comfortable doing anything not done thru DCL. I don't care were, how great the reviews are, the cost savings, or anything, it is a DCL tour or no tour.ana....yes, that's about the only place I feel comfy doing things on my own. All other ports I book via cruiseline if I plan on taking an excursion. Better safe than sorry!

A recommendation to all the newbies is to keep a camera on you at ALL times. I was wondering around on embarkation day taking pics of the Walt muriel and this is what I got.

This is what makes DCL so much fun. You never know when a character will appear. Those are the best times for one on one time with the characters. I sure all the DCL vets have stories of their encounters.
