I know some of you were reading Mel's her username is Mickey4EVER's Trip Report. Mel and her family were there the same days as us. We were even in the same parks at times. She had a TR going but had to delete it, anyway she PMed me her last day and said it was o.k for me to post here. It was the day after Thanksgiving and the day after we left.
MICKEY4EVER! said:We awoke Friday morning with bittersweet feelings. It was our last day at Disney World and we knew that we only had a short time in the park before it was time to go home, yet we were heading home to DADDY! Both Mitchell and I missed DH terribly, and even though it was sad to be leaving WDW, we were happy to be going home, too.
We showered, dressed, and finished up some last minute packing and before long, we were on our way to checking out. The bellman came to pick up our luggage and my father went with him to get the luggage loaded into the van. Mom and I met up with my dad in the WL lobby. We headed to the Roaring Forks for breakfast and Mitchell and I ended up sharing a platter. He only wanted pancakes, and I only wanted bacon and eggs, so it worked out cheaper to just split a plate. When we first got in the restaurant, it appeared that finding a seat would prove to be difficult, but by the time we waited in line to get our breakfast, most of the crowd had finished their meals and left and we had several options of seating by then.
After a breakfast that tasted only so-so, we headed out for our final trek to the boat launch. It was a lovely day, the sun was shining brightly off of the water, but it was CHILLY! And after nearly freezing to death the night before, we were sure that we had dressed warmly and had carried some warm jackets today!
We arrived at the Magic Kingdom and went straight to the train. We wanted to let Mitchell ride Big Thunder since we had not yet gotten to do that. When we got off of the train, we saw that the wait time was already at 70 minutes. So, I got everyones tickets and went over to the machines to get FPs. There was a woman ahead of me in line who was SERIOUSLY taking a long time. I waited and I waited and I waited . What was the hold up for goodness sakes??? So, I switch lines. And my impatience didnt pay off b/c the lady in front of this line was also holding things up! ARGGGHHH! Finally, I was able to obtain four FPs. Yay!
We then decided to go over to Pirates of the Caribbean for one last cruise with our pirate friends. The line was longer than Ive ever seen it, but we hopped in anyways. And do you recall me telling you that all week I had been seeing lots of line jumpers? Well, this line took the cake! Since we had nothing better to do than watch other people while we waited, thats what we did. At first, I was watching this man ahead of us who had a little boy about Mitchells age and he was actually going over and under the chains. We were all aghast, but then we noticed that a CM saw what he was doing and stopped the man. Apparently, the man was trying to get back with his wife, so I felt badly for thinking harsh thoughts about the apparent line jumper. Oops!
Then there were a group of young girls behind us in line, and there was no doubt about them line jumping. In areas where the line would get wide, theyd move as far as they could over to the right and when the line thinned back out, theyd be ahead. They kept doing this each time the line would get wide. They were several people behind us to begin with, but they had moved forward about twelve-fifteen people by the time we got to the front of the line. And when we were lining up to get in our boat, a woman beside me tapped me and pointed to the girls, and said Sweet Justice. One of the CMs must have known they what they were up to. And surely enough, when I looked, they had been held back by the CM and ended up in the front row of the boat we were loaded into. It was sweet justice indeed! They really didnt get so far ahead after all.
After Pirates, we headed over to Aladdins Carpets and then to the Tiki Tiki room. I havent done this attraction since I was a kid. We were first in line for the next show and had to wait a bit for them to let us in. Well, when they opened the doors, people were pushing and cramming their way around us, eager to get in the first row. I was extremely irritated. Hello? WE were first in line, you were BEHIND us. Wait your turn! Id had all of the rudeness I could handle for one week.
After that, we decided to go for a Dole Whip. I was determined that I was going to have one before I left since I had never had one before and today was my day! Mom and Mitchell sat and waited for me and my dad to go and get the ice cream. I ended up with the pineapple swirl, I cant remember what Mom got, and Daddy got a vanilla Dole. Mitchell didnt want anything and was content with his Goldfish!
OMG. How have I lived to be thirty years old and never have a Dole? I dont know, but I do know this: I will never, ever visit Disney World again and NOT get one, or two or three LOL! It was SO yummy!
Heres a picture of Mitchell enjoying his Goldfish treat:

After our desserts, it was time to head back and use our FPs for Big Thunder Mountain. The ride was not disappointing at all and Mitchell and I squealed with delight the entire time. My parents were behind us and we could hear Granga hollering away, too! Mitchell was so cute: he turned around and asked her You okay back there, Granga?. It was so adorable, his concern for her!
After the ride, sadly, it was time to leave . We made our way back to the train station to ride to the front of the park. As we were waiting on our train to come, one was just departing. And as we stood there, we spotted something very familiar aboard the train. My mom and I looked at one another with shocked expressions, Did you see that? I asked her. I did! she replied.
In a row all its on aboard the train was: OUR STROLLER! The one we had abandoned two days before in Hollywood Studios. There was no mistaking it, it was our stroller. Someone had gotten it and actually taped the handles on the side to make it stay together. It couldnt be folded any longer because of the tape and therefore it required a seat all its own. Too funny! We laughed and laughed about that because we didnt expect to see it again, especially on the TRAIN in Magic Kingdom! LOL!
As we were exiting the park, we decided to do one last thing with Mitchell ride the monorail. It was absolutely crowded and there really wasnt a place to sit, but someone made room for Mitchell and my mom. My dad and I stood up for the first part of the ride.
Heres Mitchell looking out the window while riding the monorail, the last picture of the trip.

After the ride on the monorail, we then headed out to the boat launch for our final boat ride of the trip back to the Wilderness and to our car for a long ride home .
