Has anyone chosen to "pick-up" their checked luggage and bring along on the bus instead of having them deliver it for you?
Here is my dilema...our flight arrives at 9:45pm.
We have one carry on bag with my husbands medical equipment.
I can take another carry on bag to pack with overnight supplies (diapers pj's toiletries etc.) BUT I do not think all of our other clothes will fit in one large "checked luggage".
I do not want to have 2 carry on's, 2 large pieces and a stroller for our short visit.
If I am able to pick up our checked luggage I can do the 2 large carry ons and eliminate the need for the 2nd carry on. therefore 3 pieces of luggage vs 4.
What a mess - it is supposed to be simple!

If you want to claim your luggage, simply don't attach the DME tags. After getting it, go to the DME checkin for your bus assignment. The driver will load your luggage in the cargo bays.

I was advised by a CM at DME to pick up our luggage ourselves as we have a late arriving flight as well. You would end up getting your luggage after midnight.
