It's Christmas in April!!!!!

I hope everyone can take advantage and maybe some more folks will book the cruise. Keep your fingers crossed. I really feel for the people on the NYE cruise. I can't imagine how upset I'd be if that was our cruise. I'm so looking forward to this vacation. So we need lots of folks to join us on this cruise so that DCL doesn't think they should split our dream vacation up and send the Magic back to the Bahamas!!!!! I do not want to go to the Bahamas (with the obvious exception of Castaway Cay).

Hello Christmas Cruisers!

I am so excited about the price drop...yea!! I hope it comes down some more. Keeping my fingers crossed. Wouldn't that be fabulous!

This will be the first time I have participated in a FE exchange. Not quite sure how it works. Do we make/or buy gifts for each stateroom or for each individual person, or either?? Since it takes time to get the FE gifts ready, how far in advance will we know the total number of participants?

Thanks for any advice.

Hello Everybody! It has been a sad time for us.

DH's grandmother died. We were in Oregon for a week to attend the services and to spend sometime with the family. We were home less than four days, when we got the call that his grandfather died. I assume he died of a broken-heart. I guess, when you have loved somebody more than 62 years, you cannot live without him/her.

I have not read the boards in awhile so I had to catch-up. It looks like we lost some cruisers and added a few more. Most importantly, thanks for the tip. We saved almost $2000.00. We are very excited about that. It is a bummer about the NY cruise cancellation, but I hope some of them join us.
I do not even want to think about the possibility of DCL doing the same thing to our cruise.

Things that I am looking forward to: CST testing, Mother's Day with the family, my birthday (Sex in the City 2), and Raven's birthday, and last but not least 37 days left until summer vacation.

Last Christmas/NYE we didn't do one. Tried to get a bunch of people together several times; just didn't work out. Let us know.. DS who will celebrate his BDAY (11) on the cruise; won't be interested.. Our lil will be 4 and would be about participating in the FE.

How old is your daughter? We have three girls with us on this cruise.

I have a daughter who is turning 13 on the cruise. I have cancelled my booking for this cruise but I intend on rebooking as soon as the "discounted" cat. 12's become available. If that never happens I will be up a creek, but it is a chance I am willing to take. I am on the Baltic cruise with you. Can't wait.

Wow! That's cool! We took the savings from this cruise and rolled it into the discounted 12's on the Baltic!!!

Yes, we have spontaneously added another cruise before our Christmas voyage!!!! (We are crazy!)

I'm so sorry for your loss. My grandmother is 97, and I am grateful for every day she is with us.

I'm glad that everyone has been able to take advantage of the savings! What wonderful news as we continue to count the days to our fantastic adventure!

We are sorry to say we will not make the Christmas cruise. We got slammed by taxes this year and had a stock option due so we made the decision to take the funds from the cruise account. We are looking at future cruises to transfer our reservation to so we can keep our discount.

We hope you all have a wonderful cruise and will be thinking of you over the upcoming holidays.

We booked directly with DCL and have not heard anything from them. We will be calling tomorrow. There are five of us going, we have a category 3 and are looking at spending three nights at the Bay Lake Tower prior to the cruise. Sure hope to hear plans need not be changed. We would just cancel the whole works if they aren't doing a 11 night Christmas cruise.

Butting in here, I am not on this cruise, but wanted to make sure you were aware that this cruise is not one that was cancelled but the one following Dec 29th was cancelled and we were informed via our travel agent, that they decided to create 2 five night cruises in the Bahamas (Not great for us). While they did this, they also lowered the price of your cruise and opened up Cat 12, to get more people to book. ( I believe they were hoping to get some from our cancelled cruise to join this one. ) I would suggest you call DCL, since you booked directed and see if there was a price reduction on your category. Looks like most Categories got a reduction, but not sure about the Suites.
