Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

I'm sorry I haven't been around. I feel so out of the loop! LOL

I own my own bakery so I've been spending the last few days getting orders out, paperwork done, etc.

Then today I got a call from Agnes' school. She was running in her classroom (bad girl), trip on a chair, and split her head open. She has a goose egg and cut above her eyebrow!! My poor baby!! OMG. She is doing fine. I took her for some ice cream and bought her a new game for our Wii. If you have a Wii you need to get the new Donkey Kong Country. It is most awesome!

We are suppose to get between 2-3 inches of rain tomorrow so that should make a good day for cleaning the house, start arranging the piles, and maybe get some stuff packed.

I can't believe that by this time next Friday Miss Three_at_Sea and I will be having cocktails at the Radisson!!!!!

I seriously am so excited to meet all of you!!

What a long trip, Naomi! Safe travels ---> :goodvibes

Kitster - so excited for your next leg of the trip :yay:

Almost three hours at the vets this AM, unexpectedly. Bulldog has stones in his eurethra. Unhappy Bulldog. He had surgery today and is there all weekend. Switched his boarding from his usual place to the vets in case anything else happens. Dear friend who is feeding our cats runs the kennels there so he will be well looked after.

Went to the one bank in town that can get Euros. $19US charge just to get them. No thanks!

5 more days ... :woohoo:

Can we please get together a DISer Flash Mob group so we can break out in song or dance on Deck 9?

Michelle! So sorry to hear about Agnes' day and her fall. Hope she heals quickly --->

As first time DIS cruisers, is it normal to have so many folks involved in a board group before hand and to have three really big group sections of post?

Caryn

I haven't been on in a week or so, I can't believe how organized you all are!!!!

I have been stressing about luggage, about FE's about the flight, about pretty much every trivial detail you can image including...what to eat at Palo!

Finally DH says to me "Who cares!" and I had to laugh, 'cause really this will be the most relaxing vacation ever, Disney really does everything!

I am most looking forward to sitting by the pool or beach, reading a book with a cocktail and dozing off... I have a 4 year old so I haven't been able to do that in YEARS!!!

Today it's -15C where I am (5F) so I am so looking forwards to the warm weather and tropical breezes.

This is my 6th DIS cruise group and by far the most active with posts!

Hi from Orlando!

We arrived yesterday evening and spent today at Downtown Disney, then relaxing at our villa. It was a lovely day weather wise and we even went for a swim. Ok we are British and will swim in most temps but it was pleasantly warm. Its lovely to be finally here and relaxing. The kids were so well behaved on the flight and all the travelling went really well. We are still adjusting to the time difference though.

Great to hear the weather is good there. It is -26 C here today. Thank you for confirming the receipt of my PM.

OK I have 2 requests:

1. My daughter (27) is asking if there is anyone over 21 who will be going to Rockin Bar D or any of the other night time entertainment. She's not big on drinking but she still like to go. I'm usually too tired. :cloud9: She'd like to get in a crowd who likes to have fun and dance. Anyone in their 20-30's who can stay up past 11pm?
:rotfl:

2. My son (18) loves to play basketball. Any guys out there who like to play onboard every day?

Our son, Mike, is 31. He is up at all hours, we'll have to get the "youngsters" connected! I'm sure they'll appreciate not having to hang out with us "oldsters".

Also he loves to bounce the ball around, but your 18 year old will probably blow him out of the water! Connie

I'm making a little list so I can give it to my daughter. :)

oh, good, a list is good. I can share it with Mike. He won't even be getting home until Friday, probably. I am not sure when his last exam is. Also, he's behind on a paper he's writing. So, he'll just throw his clothes and computer into his car along with his cat and start driving to Orlando from Durham, NC. It will be interesting to try to get him up for an early trip to the port, but he can sleep in the van!:laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:

I'm 27 and my sister is 23 and we can stay up past 11pm!

I would really like to meet up with other people in our age group. :goodvibes
It would be really great to make some new friends, as I currently don't have any.

Oh, sure, you need to go on St. Lucie Lady's list, too!:cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks SO much for thinking of me! Actually, I defended on Nov. 12th, and I GRADUATE this weekend! Whoo-hoo! :cool1: It only took me nine years to get the Ph.D. :rotfl:
A question for all - before our last cruise, I was able to go online somewhere to do special requests like the bed rail and booster seat for our little one. It was an automatic/click the bubble type form rather than a downloadable pdf, but I can't find it anywhere! Does anyone know how to access that page??? Thanks in advance! :santa:

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GRADUATION!

I am sure you can request the bed rail and the booster seat once you get on the ship, or at the terminal. Connie

So proud of DW... :worship: Dr. Amy

Yesterday her and her staff had a Toys for Tots drive with the Marines ...

Tis the season.. :santa:

oh, what good looking guys!

This time next week - Alyssa and I will be on the road to Moline, IL to catch our flight to MCO!:cool1::banana::dance3::yay:

OH, WOW! you must be from somewhere near the Quad Cities!

We are originally from Rock Falls/Sterling area. We have lots of family still in the area. We love to use the Moline airport, so easy to get in and out of!

NOPE, this many posts isn't really unusual.....some pre cruise groups are VERY chatty! Some are not. I still check in sometimes on a thread from several years ago, and we are still friends with people we have cruised with over th eyears!:grouphug:

I am glad you arrived safely. My son has enjoyed sending email to your son. He is really excited to meet him next Saturday. Have a wonderful time in Florida. See you next week.
