Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) **** PART III ****

Alyssa and I went to see Narnia last night. It was really good. I hope they are playing it on the ship so I can see it again. It was late last night and I was tired so I know a few things past me by.

I am hoping Narnia is on the ship as well. Actually the opportunity to see all these movies is such a luxury for us. We see maybe 2 a year, and one is usually Harry Potter. Not a lot of baby sitters here ...

Off to my pedicure. My feet need a little attention. Tried on my sandals the other night and was alarmed.

:)

Our helicopter made it out of Taji just before bad weather set in. Made it to Baghdad (Forward Operating Base Sather/Baghdad International Airport), but no flights to Kuwait tonight :-(

Now just wasting time until tomorrow afternoon's flight. At least there is a Green Bean Coffee here....white chocolate mocha=YUM!!

All in all, it will take me about 3 days to get back to the states, but it will be soooooo worth it when I'm sitting on the deck of the ship with a DOTD in my newly manicured hand!!

BTW.....GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!!!

I'm sorry I haven't been around. I feel so out of the loop! LOL

I can't believe that by this time next Friday Miss Three_at_Sea and I will be having cocktails at the Radisson!!!!!

I seriously am so excited to meet all of you!!

oh YEAH! First DOTD is on me, Michelle!:woohoo:

When I got to school this morning there apparently had been a 'Go Army' party earlier! There was chalk writing all over the quad and the chapel walls. Not too sure how the commandant felt about it, but it is supposed to rain tonight, so maybe they won't be in too much trouble :) Hopefully they all studied before the antics started. We don't have too many Navy guys on board around here.

Did you say that you are on the 2nd floor? We are too, in 2620. Got clothes laying everywhere at the house. I told my cleaning lady she might have to 'clean around' things this week when she comes. Waiting on my kiddos to show up for their exam. Have a happy flight over the big pond! I always liked to listen to Daughtry and "I'm coming Home"....thinking about how much closer Butch was getting to us....you'll be there soon!

Hi from Orlando!

We arrived yesterday evening and spent today at Downtown Disney, then relaxing at our villa. It was a lovely day weather wise and we even went for a swim. Ok we are British and will swim in most temps but it was pleasantly warm. Its lovely to be finally here and relaxing. The kids were so well behaved on the flight and all the travelling went really well. We are still adjusting to the time difference though.
Colette

Glad to hear you arrived safe and happy! I got back home from London last night and the next plane I'll be on is to Florida! Yay! Now if I can just get through one more hectic work week :scared1:

Narnia will probably not be on the ship - it's no longer a Disney film. It's now owned by 20th Century Fox :sad2:

I totally forgot about that Sarah and I saw the movie last night. I told you I was tired and I porbably missed a few things! So you are correct and it probably won't be on the ship.

Safe travels to you too!

Well, the snow has hit us here in Iowa. It started about 11:30 and has been snowing pretty heavy ever since. I took Alyssa to her 2pm performance and the roads were pretty slick and snow covered so I don't know if they will cancel tonight's show or not. Of course there are some crazy people out on the roads so I'm all for staying in tonight and getting some packing done.

OK-- The wind is blustering (in fact snow isn't falling, it is swirling), we have had 6 more inches of snow since my morning report, DH has shoveled 3 times already today, and an avalanche of snow fell off of our roof shaking the house and scaring us half to death (it sounded like the roof was caving in). So glad this storm is here now, instead of next Thursday when we leave. Looks pretty boring here weather-wise by next week.

Speaking of DOTD- I think it is a great idea to buy Melissa DOTD's! Her DH probably deserves at least one too. :worship:

My DH is making me a tropical DOTD this evening to get me in the Caribbean packing mood! He also said that he is willing to sponsor DOTD's to anyone willing to help me scope out the laundry situation on the boat. I love the laundry DOTD idea. :thumbsup2

Good luck and safe travels to all that are in transit. I love hearing you arrive. It almost seems like I am there myself.

BigHugsForEeyore...

It looks like you'll be living Disney for about a month with your two cruises and trips to WDW!

I'm definitely not jealous of all of the snow y'all keep mentioning. It's only 75 down here in Houston!

I am jealous of all of you who have already started their vacations! I have one more week of work (:teacher:) and then my family and I fly out Friday night!

This will be our 3rd DCL Christmas cruise and my fifth DCL.

We're an interesting bunch, no little ones to manage! My mom, dad, brother (26), and I (32) will be on board. My little ones (two four-legged hairy creatures) have to stay at a doggie hotel for 12 nights, so sad.

My ornament is wrapped and I can't wait to get on board.

Safe travels to all! :flower3:

(((Sarah))) It will all work out --->

Melissa - For you, I will cheer for Army. This year. (Navy family ...)

Went out at Noon (toesees look great - went with festive silver polish) 54 degrees and oddly balmy. 5 hrs later 38 degrees and rainy. yuck.

I know when an alcohol purchase is made at the onboard duty free it is held until the end of the trip. Is the same true of American cigarettes? DH is just wondering if he can buy and smoke them on board or we need to bring what he'd need for the trip.

Thanks!
Caryn

In the middle of packing HeXX!!!!!

This is way harder than a 7 night. I hope I'm taking enough, but not too much.
