Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Thank you, Irishcowboy and LeiLani :goodvibes

Will be interested to hear about dining rotations. With such a long cruise it will be nice to experience each restaurant a few times :thumbsup2. Hoping we catch a formal at AP - found a lovely bl/wht dress for DD5:lovestruc

I would love to help! Do we want to hold it is Sessions? (If we can reserve it) I have to call Concierge today so I will ask them if we can do this and if so, how do we go about it. I'm also going to see if they can confirm dinning rotations. I'll let you know what I find out.

First day of school for the kiddo so I have to run but I'll check back in later.

Everyone have a great day!

Kids can't go to Sessions, so perhaps a different venue would work best?

We should plan for mid-afternoon on Day 2.

Normally I would send the request to the group specialist, but if you have concierge, maybe they can help more quickly?

Also, if you are interested in group brunch, we'd be interested as well. We love Palo brunch!

No problem. I talked to concierge and they pretty much confirmed what we already know. Formal on the 19th; Formal on the 25th; and Semi-Formal on the 27th. He said it did not show him pirate night but it will most likely be on the 23rd - the night we are in Barbados. He also said that the schedule should be set at the 90 day mark so I will check back then. Of course, he also gave me the standard - that things are always subject to change.;)

Hi Joann, (I'm trying to learn names so correct me if this is wrong)

I agree with you about Sessions and coming up with a different area. I can check with concierge and see if there is another area we can reserve.

Concierge did say we can reserve Sessions if we decide to do that for an adult only meet. It doesn't cost anything to reserve the room but if we had drinks or food it would cost for those items.

I would love to do a group brunch. Like I said before, I have 7 adults in my group alone so let me check to see if all of those are interested and I will see if I can book the private dinning room in Palo then I will get back to you.

Going to add some buttons to the top to help secure the fold-over for the dowel. Will likely just add "BBQMommy" somehow at the top -- and DONE! Between materials costs and my 4 hours time, the ones on ETSY and EBAY are not expensive at all :rotfl:

Two cottons are the print and navy, with navy binding.

Now I can mow the lawn.

Nice FE BBQMommy!:thumbsup2

I'm not too crafty so I think I'm going to have to order one from ebay.:)

Brunch with the group sounds divine! DD5 to Club Kiddo and DH might go off in Bob-land (or he might come along yoo, hard to tell with him :goodvibes)

and thank you!

What's your dinning time?

Our is Late!

We tried main(early) once and didn't like it too much so we have gone for late ever since. Of course we have older kids so it is eaiser for us.

On the 2004 cruise we set it up so that we had a section of DISers all together in the dinning room. We had tables next to each other and it was fun seeing everyone at dinner.

Don't know if anyone is interested but if so I could talk to DCL to see if this is an option again.

Would you believe after like 10 DCL's we have never eaten at Palo.. :confused3 Are we slackers or what..

Carina our HS brought our DS cheese pizza from there for his BD though last year. It was outstanding..

Oh you have to try Palo. I love, love, love Palo! I love to have dinner there at least once and the brunch is a must. I love the pizzas and the chocolate souffle. If we get the right Head Server sometimes we can get a pizza or two delivered to the dinning room. I'm keeping my fingers crossed this time.

We are Early/Main dining -- which for our 5/6 yr old, is just fine. She was up late (10:15) last night but we went to see the Wiggles and it was a special thing, but she konked out in the car on the way home.:upsidedow

We are also Main/Early dining. If someone is working on Palo, DW and I would like to be included.

Also, thanks for the confirmation (subject to change) of the special nights. I think I am starting to go into major planning mode.

Hello all!

Our concierge helper, Jamira, said that while the dining rotations are NOT confirmed yet, they believe that they will be the following: LAPLAPL, APLAPLA, and PLAPLAP. I was hoping for an ALP rotation, but it doesn't look like it will happen unless something changes! I hope that helps some.

We had a happy first day of school here, so I hope everyone else is having a great week as well! :goodvibes

Glad school went well :thumbsup2 and interested to see the dining rotations. Thank you for sharing that :goodvibes

This wil be our 6th cruise and we haven't done Palo yet:sad2:

I am going to try it on this cruise for sure!!!

Is anyone thinking about going to MVMCP the night before the cruise? I think we are going to go!! It should get us into the Christmas sprit.

We booked yesterday!
We were originally on this one and decided to do the first Baltic cruise instead. But in true DCL addict style we couldn't not go on this one too.

Will be catching up on post and getting to know everyone. Also would love to do FE again.

Lots of planning to do now cant wait.
But first let me introduce everyone.
Firstly me im Colette (32) mum to 3 boys
Billy (Billbo) 13 at time of cruise
Jayden 10
Keegan 3
my parents are also joining us
Bill and Kath.

We are from England and have done several cruises now.
This will be our 3rd chrimas cruise and we always think it is just slightly more magical.

Hello Colette!:woohoo:

Excited to meet you and hear about the Baltic :goodvibes Spent a week in then Leningrad in 1991 and it had a huge impact on me. Hope to get there again someday. :wizard:

I love hearing all the folks talking about past holiday cruises - :santa:

MVMCP would be awesome -- we are opting for Harry Potter instead. I am surprised my husband has waited this long to get there

We did MVMCP last year when we were at WDW for Christmas so we are going to skip it this year and just hang out at the Hyatt.(Getting to know our DIS "friends" that will also be staying there.:thumbsup2)

Sounds like a fun way to kick off the cruise though!

:welcome:Welcome Aboard :welcome: Colette!

It seems like we have a few grandparents going on this cruise which is awesome!
