Magic Christmas Cruise 2010 (Dec 18th - 29th) - PART II

Mike -- I am 41 with a 5 yr old and husband Bob is 45 - both of us prematurely grey. We occasionally are complimented on our lovely 'grand daughter'.:rotfl::mad: I just found a 'Don't Call Me Granny' t-shirt I may have to pack ... If she doesn't keep us young, she at least keeps us running!

Is there a roll call for this cruise? Just trying to get a feeling for what ages other kids (young and older) are for my DD's to meet.

Thanks!

Hello :) Gotta love those first day of school pics..

Gonna have to try Palo this time.. :thumbsup2

How long of flight is it for you guys to get to MCO (Orlando) ? :confused3

When we were traveling to Moscow it was about a 20 - 22 hour travel day. We did STL to DC, DC overnight to Moscow.. roughly 14+ hours of fly time. :scared1:

On this trip it will be an overnight flight to Amsterdam, a morning flight to Detroit, and an afternoon flight to MCO. With a total of 7 hours sitting in the airports in between, total travel time is about 26 hours. Normally we fly direct to DC, and it's only about 20 hours.

Good Saturday Morning!!! or Evening!!! for those across the pond!:teeth:

Nice pictures everyone. It's great to put a face with a name.

Now I guess I need to dig up a few of us to see if I can post them online. I am horrible at the taking pictures thing.

Hi, My husband will be diving at atleast two of the stops. I just officially booked so I have not planned much yet. I will let you know in about a month the dive days he will be doing.

I don't know if we have one on this thread. BigAWL had an updated one on the old thread and I think they have some information on FB but I haven't seen one here.

Aaron - do you have an updated list?

I don't have a list currently. Probably the best list is whatever tinkmischief has been able to put together from PMs from people who want to do fish extenders.

It's kinda strange... the old thread had a bunch of people who were posting a lot early on. Several of them announced that they were no longer on the cruise, others just never posted again. This is almost a completely different group. So I'm not sure how many of those people are still booked on the cruise.

Now that's a serious Disney fan right there! :thumbsup2 Beautiful family, btw!

I'm loving seeing all the pictures. So...who's next?

So great seeing everyone -- also a fan of First Day of School pics :goodvibes

Judged BBQ in Nashville today and am tired and full, but I'm smiling. :thumbsup2

I have an excel spread sheet that I put together with everyone's names and ages of the kids just so I can keep everyone straight. I can create a list to post here on the boards if everyone is okay with that. Some I have actual names and ages of the kids and cabin numbers on some. If everyone is okay with it I can post an updated list here on the boards. I tried to go back and keep it up to date but who knows with all the comings and goings. It's a place to start though. Let me know what you guys think.

I was just curious about the different ages of kids on the sailing and if they are DD's or DS's :goodvibes No need to post cabin numbers, for what I was asking anyway...lots of people may prefer that not be posted (I was one of them on my last sailing). Thank you for responding though with an offer to post some sort of roll call.

Hi this is our first Disney Cruise. We are so excited. We have 4 kids. DS 15, DS 10, DS 7 and DD 2 (almost 3 once we cruise).
I am trying to understand the FE. Can someone please explain how it works and what you put in it. I have seen them for sale on Etsy just not sure what to do. Also if you have two rooms do you get two or would I just get one for my family?
Can't wait for the cruise!

Hello Eve! :goodvibes

I am fine with maybe posting first names and DD/DS and an age, but I'd prefer not to have the room number out there.

Hello! Here we are: DS - Tristan (7), DH - Matt, DD - Madison (just turned 3), Me - Vanessa, and DS - Brendan (9...will be 10 on cruise). :goodvibes

No problem on the cabin numbers. I only have a couple of those anyway and I fully understand.

I also agree that we don't need last names. I was thinking just DIS names, first names and ages if I have them.

Welcome Aboard! And welcome to your first Disney Cruise. I have added your information to my list of cruisers.

I will try to help out with the FEs but I am still trying to figure them all myself. Even after 8 cruises I have not done these yet. Tinkmischief is collecting the information for the FEs so you will need to PM her will your info. If you participate you will give gifts to the other DISers who are participating and they will give your family gifts. From what I understand they are usually small items like stickers, tattoos, chapstick, etc. They can be store bought or hand made. You only have to do one, but you can do multiple gifts. Someone posted on the old thread that they would deliver to a different deck each day. Hopefully this helps out but if not just ask more questions.

Nice looking family Vanessa!

Now I really need to find a picture.
