Ok, so I know as a Canadian I can’t order magic bands for delivery, but can I buy a new one on EBay and link to my account before we leave?

we are staying offsite so this way it allows us to save a lot of money, but hopefully have our magic bands ready to go.

What is the price? I'm not sure I would trust eBay to get a new MB that is not previously attached to someone's MDE account. You can just buy the plain ones at the ticket booth at guest services and have them linked to your MDE, or if you want a fancier one, buy it in one of the stores in the parks.

If the eBay ones are new and still in the package, you can certainly go that route, but I wouldn't if they are really pricey.

It’s new in the package. $25 is the price. It’s a really nice Fantasia one.
That seems like a very reasonable price and there should be no problem with you linking it to your account.

is that $25 US or CDN? Does it include taxes and shipping? Is it coming from Canada or the US? Just be aware of all the extra costs that might not be in that quoted price. As mentioned above you can buy the bands on site just compare the prices before you jump on the etsy one. You can look on the shop Disney website to check the choices and prices

it's $25 US and shipping is about $18...I was under the impression that all of these Magic Bands come and go and there was no guarantee I would get the one I want at the park like this Fantasia one.

Not worried so much about cost, just don't want to buy it and not be able to link it.

If it is actually brand new, never out of the box then yes you will be able to link it to your account. However as someone else mentioned the battery required for the long range connections -- photos on the rides, the message you might see in Small World -- might have lost it's ability to actually work. The band will still work perfectly fine for anything that you need to tap, like getting into a park or using your FP+ since that doesn't require battery.

I would still be concerned that it isn't actually brand new and possibly already connected to someone else's account, but that's just me.
