Magic bands shipping?

I have the same question. We are not going for 60 days but I’m a little concerned because of the reports of people not receiving their bands in time.
 
We did not receive ours in time. It was very frustrating. They didn't ship them until 10 days before our trip started. They arrived two days after we were in Disney. I think they use flying chickens for delivery.
 
Has anyone tried the new “slap” band magic bands? My kids are constantly playing with theirs when we’re in the park and they’re always popping off. Just wondering if anyone has tried them and found them to stay in kids’ wrists better. Thanks!
 

My recent two orders each took just under three weeks from time ordered to received. There was an email notification when prepared to ship with tracking. The travel time to mailbox took just under one week. (Florida to California).

I ordered ours around the 45 day mark and it took 12 days until they shipped (which was just this past Wednesday). I did have them personalized, so that time frame makes sense. When I track them it is showing expected delivery tomorrow. So for us it was relatively quick. I was concerned when I made the order because of others’ stories but it worked out fine.
 
Mine was 3 weeks from order to delivery. Once 'shipped', they didn't move for a few days. Then they arrived a day earlier than expected on the shipping update site. I like a suggestion posted on another thread- $10 off a band once on site instead. Better variety, less problems.
 
Great something new to worry about. We just booked a last minute trip (4 weeks out). We’re regulars at DL but I’ve only been to WDW once... 20 yrs ago! I’m out of my element. 🤣
 
our trip is mid April, ordered mine and they shipped about a week later and took about 10 days after shipping to arrive.
 
Our bands for our trip later this week were sent to the resort front desk. I guess it’s because we booked less than 60 days in advance, but there was never any option to have them shipped to us at home.
 
We made our order a few weeks ago, 75 days out, then Friday received an email saying "they were unable to complete our order" logged back on and our entire order was cleared. Only one of the bands we chose in our original order was still available. younger DD was not happy that her first and second choices are both gone. No explanation from Disney other that they could not fill our order. Frustrated that we submitted the order, received an email saying our order was good, then a few weeks later finding out we are out of luck.

The band selection has a few that come and go. If you wait and check again, you may see your daughter’s selection return.

Is this an option or a suggested improvement? I think I waited too long to order ours before our trip and I'm worried they won't arrive in time. If they offered a discount on-site that would be awesome!
 
We ordered ours on 3/7 and they have not shipped. 2 of the 3 where the upgraded versions so I thought they would ship right away. Trip isn't for another 60 days so not too worried at this moment.

I completed our order about that same time and we go in 60 days. Nothing here either. Trying to be patient.

Our bands just arrived! No notice at all that they had shipped.

Suggested improvement unfortunately! There have been reports of bands not arriving on time and guests receiving free bands at the resort. They showed their order, delivery, etc. and a CM took sympathy. Not a rule but perhaps with the right approach and right CM, an option.
 
I was reading somewhere that Disney is trying to phase out the bands to encourage use of the mobile device app, stating that they are increasing the app's capabilities. Anyone find the app to be just as useful in place of having to wear a band?
