Magic Bands & Nail Polish

I think I read somewhere that it's ok to apply a coat of nail polish to Magic Bands to decorate them, and it helps them from getting a chalky look after they're stored for a while. Is this true or am I mistaken?

If it is ok, is there any problem with metallic glitter nail polish interfering with the functioning?

It's true! I even cover mine in crystals. They work fine.

Our Magic Bands were decorated (completely covered, actually), with glitter nail polish for our December 2015 trip. Never had a problem with the bands, and got lots of compliments Plan to do the same for our new ones for our trip this summer.

Yep! Nail polish works beautifully! Our magic bands we doodled on from two years still have their designs on them due to a thick coat of clear polish we laid on top of them!
