Magic bands dvc and passholder

Have a question I'm an annual passholder and just made a new reservation, I have a magic band already but I got an email saying I should customize my band. Do I get a second one? What happens to my fast pass + selections I already made? Should I ignore the email? Help!

You will get another band whether you customize it or not. The bands can be used interchangeably. Currently I have three. I am expecting two more in the mail soon because I have a split stay this summer.

The bands provide a link to your MDE account. All of your bands access the same account. Your AP and FP+ info is on your account, not the band.

If your vacation is not linked to an band before they make it available for you to modify, they will send you a new one. I got bands last Christmas and linked the Christmas and Junes vacations to it right after making the reservation. So i did not get a new band for June. But they are going to send me one for Christmas 2014 as i have not linked that stay to the current band.

So if you make a reservation and then link it immediately (or by some date) to an existing band they will not send you one for that stay. If you don't then they will...

We don't care, we don't use them. Prefer to use the RFID cards.

Your FPs remain the same whether you use your AP band or the band that is sent to you for your reservation.

You can use the bands interchangeably. I used three different bands on the last trip (a girl needs to have her MB match her outfit, of course )
