Honeymooning in WDW end of September beginning of October at The Swan and Dolphin (staying in The Swan). I've been reading a lot of posts recently about people (who haven't used Fastpass+) saying it has ruined their trip and they should have used it as they have had long queues etc. I don't really understand how it all works and if we should be considering it for our trip. Has anyone got an first hand experience with this and any links to posts or websites that will help me decide if we need it? :confused3

Also, we were told we can have Magic Bands for our trip but DF and I aren't sure if we REALLY need them. Are their any benifits that make this a must have etc and again, if anyone can give me their experiences are point me to a good post etc that might explain it would be much appreciated. :thumbsup2

Yes, use FP+, unless you like standing in line for hours, or not even getting on the major rides at all. There's no downside to using a Magic band either, so if they are free, take them.

So you are asking should you get the magic bands - that answer is yes. They are part of your stay and can house links to everything from room keys, tickets, dining credits and even room charges. The old turnstiles are gone, replaced by tap stiles. We were there 8 days for our last trip and was sad when that little convenience was gone once we returned to the real world.

FP+ my question is why would you not? Does it take some planning sure, but why not secure 3 of your favorite rides before you leave home. During the time you are going you are going to run into early hours some nights at MK because of the parties. To me, it is just easier to use a tool that is provided.

If you have hoppers, pick later in the day at a park of your choice. If you are a rope drop kind of person, book mid day at the park you are going to. You know how you tour the parks, so just make the tool work for you.
