Yes, the kid thing is the kid thing in me and the "kids" love it. Actually it's our 11 year old who loves to be near the front of the line. The time passes quickly and we typically meet several folks while waiting. Sorry, don't mean to sound pompus about the car thing. I was responding the Lampy's comments. We are truely blessed to be able to enjoy such things.

Yes wives could care less about toy cars. My wife enjoys driving the "tank" and doesn't care for the fast toys... although she does have motorcycle which I have nothing to do with .

Time to get the kids on the bus.

YAHOOO Our Docs just got dropped off by UPS I am home from work today because I have not been feeling well and I was sleeping on the couch when the doorbell rang and I jumped up so fast that I almost fell over. By the time I got to the front door the UPS man had done his drop and run, but hey at least there my box from DCL was lying on my front stoop. Just wanted to post, hopefully more of you will be getting yours today too or very soon!!! I am sooo excited!!!!!!!! Just barely a month to wait yet!!!!

Well, to all of you guys with the fast cars...my hat is off to you! I am jealous!

One of the nicest compliments Ds gave me was when he told his friend that his mom could identify a car at 30 yards. I have always been a strange girl...love cars! Especially those meant to be driven fast!

My first car was a 1972 Nova V8 with a 307 under the hood...okay, it was Mom's hand me down and had four doors, but baby could it go!! I was a bad girl and raced it a few times...whooped a Celica Supra once. These days I don't drive the Tank-Mom Mobile, but it ain't a Vette either. I've got a Ford Focus that Ds won't let me trip out even though it's an acceptable car with the Fast and the Furious crowd. We just watched Pimp My Ride where they tripped out a 1967 Mustang...whoa! It was a beauty!

Ds is already scoping out his future cars. He is quite fond of the 1963/64 Vettes and the early 70s versions. He says that will be his car after he's been driving a few years. His tells me that his first car could be a hand me down from his grandpa...a 2004 Dakota truck or a 2003 Grand Cherokee. And the really strange thing is that my dad is contemplating giving him the Cherokee...I was 24 before I could drive one of his vehicles.

It is my love to drive...and a stick at that...which makes me want to do that dune buggie excursion at Cozumel. Ds is right there with me...he would love to be able to drive. But, DH does not share our enthusiasm...alas, we will be shlepping the ruins at Tulum. Oh, don't get me wrong...I am interested in the ruins, but the dune buggies just sound better.

We just saw the Disney Cruise special on the Travel Channel last night so now we are really excited about the cruise!!

Have any of you done the banana boat ride at CC? If so, please let me know if you recommend it. Thanks!!

No docs yet today!! I left for work at about 12:30pm. I'm sure DDs will give me a call when they get home from school if they are between the door.

looks like the midwest is getting their docs......We are staying at the beach club the night before......I should be in that shrimp line no later than 12:45......can't wait!!!!!

Lampy, you've got two houses? We went through that last year for about 7 months. Fun huh? We couldn't decide wether to move or not, thinking the old would sell better if it looked lived in. I no longer have a liking for realtors... I wish I'd never used one to sell our old home. Should have done it ourselves and saved some $$$.

So is GC a sure thing?

Doogierunner..........We got a super deal on the "new one", lakefront lots and houses are extremely hard to come by. Only way to get it was a "noncontingent offer". We closed in three weeks and now we have some remodeling to do......it's better living at the old one and working on the new one. The houses are only 4 block away from each other. I have a good friend who is the local broker so he can deal with it.......we have friends building and won't be done 'till April so renting to them is an option also................I NEED A VACATION!!!!!!!!!

Silver7. Nope, not a Dr. and I don't think I look like Doogie Howser. Several years after I graduated collage... about the time Doogie Howser was on, I was doing the consulting gig and some asked if I'd ever graduated from college, let alone high school... and they started calling me Doogie... it stuck. Here I am, pushing into my 40s... still "Doogie".

Lampy... yeah, we did a contingent offer a few years ago on a home... and lost it. Last year, we went non-contingent so we wouldn't lose the home we wanted. It was a good thing... our home had another offer w/in three days. We still had some time to execute, but when the window ran out we removed the contingency. It was a very nerve wracking winter. The whole time the realtor's saying... "no problem... you're old house will sell this month... and by the way, now that I've got your business... lets reduce the price some more."

If anyone's a realtor... don't take it personally .
