My home resort is BLT, so I made my rezzies there for a Feb 2010 trip. (I'm probably going to switch some of the nights to AKV so that we can enjoy that resort as well.) Just got a studio with standard view....don't need anything too special for just the two of us. I'm so excited to take my first trip as a DVC member! :yay:

Question: On my trip, we'll be staying at WDW for 4 days, then taking a 3 night Disney cruise, then staying 3 more nights at WDW. I'll be buying an AP because I'll be back in October, but I'm unsure what to do with my wife. If I buy an AP for my wife, is there anyway I can use it for my son when I return in Oct? I assume that's not going to work, so will I be able to buy her a 7 day pass and use it both before and after the cruise? I guess my real question is when do tickets expire? Do the tickets have to be used on consecutive days, or can their use be spread out?

Anyhow...excited for my first stay at BLT and (possibly) AKV! :goodvibes

Tickets are not transferrable. AP's have the holder's name printed on them. If you buy a 7 day MYW pass, it will expire 14 days from first use unless you add the no expiration so it should cover before and after the cruise. They do not have to be used on consecutive days.

No, if you buy an AP for your wife, no one else can use it. Tickets are not transferable and they use biometric readers to ID users. (Someone will chime in saying that they don't always use the readers or they aren't always accurate, but the bottom line is they aren't transferable.)

If you buy her a 7-day pass, you can add an option so that unused days NEVER expire. However, if you do NOT add that option, unused days do not expire until 14 days after first use, so you'll be fine for using part before and part after the cruise.
