Mad HAtter or Disney Themed Shower

Heatherlynn, I don't know how I missed this thread. I thought I had searched them all! Your sister did an amazing job! LOVE the invites! I have Shelley at Impressions working them and she has some cute ones, but if her cost is too high, I just may give your sister a jingle!! I also love the book idea. I have been searching for Little Golden Book versions for all the kids at Welcome Brunch so the characters can sign it but finding 11 of them is proving difficult. We found several different styles of alice mugs through disney store and disneyshopping which we are planning to fill for our favors as well. Thanks for sharing!

haha well there are so many threads around here it can be easy to skip one! i thought the book idea was such a cute keepsake. I also like your book idea for the kids, and the alice mugs, that will be so cute! my sis is very talented. she is a teacher, so she is so good at all teh fun artsy stuff!:)

Oh My Gosh those pictures are so cute... I am convinced to have that for my bridal party... So adorable...:cutie:

For a Mad Hatter themed shower I would start with a variety (no 2 need to be the same) of tea cups/saucers/plates/drink pitchers. Bold colors or prints would work well. Remember that the tableware itself can be decorative so the tables won't need much. Consider colorful flower pots with equally colorful flowers in them for decorations. What about paper lanters strung around the room over the tables as well as colorful liens. You could spend the money on an elaborate cake or create a cupcake tree instead where each is a different color. If you or someone else is creative you could make a carboard/plywood cutout of a giant tea cup that could be used as a decoration/prop for photos.

Here are a few pictures from a Mad Hatters Tea Party at DLR. HTH.

We are doing a tea party shower too, but we are going the "princess" route. I have been going to yard sales and have a bunch of mismatched tea sets for the tables. When you come in there will be a trunk full of costume jewelry, crowns, boas, and such and you have to get all dressed up before you get to the shower. We are using some of our old dolls and stuffed animals as centerpieces. I am getting tea bag holders for favors and wrapping them with custom tea bags we are getting from ebay. Hope this helps you out!

Does anyone know where you can purchase these at WDW and how much they would be? I'm having my 24th birthday there in Sep. and decided I must have one of these cakes!! :)

You could do a candy buffet as well, all the colors in glass jars would look cute and they could double as help yourself favors.
