Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Does anyone know if Universal is holding its Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade again this year. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Oh goody! I missed it last year, and trying to convince my parents to take me on Thanksgiving (is it on the actual Thanksgiving Day?). More of a reason to go!

The Macy's Holiday Parade will be back at Universal this year. The deal with Macy's was signed earlier this year, and I believe it was for more than just this year.

Universal has it listed on their website but doesnt show dates yet. Last year it started Dec 13th or around there.

I wish the parade started earlier-December 13 seems late. All the other holiday events start around Thanksgiving! If it starts that late this year, we will miss it!

It does, flyfly. Because it's done differently.

First they have the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade (aka Macy's Holiday Parade) in New York, where it happens every year. After that, they pack up several of the ballons and floats and ship them down to us in Orlando. Then Universal puts them back together and trains the staff. Then you get the parade to watch and enjoy.

ahhhh that would explain why it is callled the "holiday" parade & not the "thanksgiving day" parade !
