Tuesday, 4/1/03- Day 3

We all slept in a little (if you can call sleeping in 8:30 am!!) and had breakfast in the room, the kids ran down to Rip Tide and brought back up some croissants and muffins, I brewed a pot o'joe and we sat outside on the balcony enjoying the morning. DH went down to use the hot tub, his back was killing him from all the walking at MK yesterday, and he was really liking this hot tub thing!

We put our swimsuits on and headed for a day at Stormalong Bay. There weren't many people around and we snagged some great seats directly across from Poolside Gifts. The air temp was probably only high 60's at 10 am but that was glorious to us New Yorker's after the horrible winter we've had (and are still having, apparently
:( :( :( The kids bugged me to come in so after putting them off for as long as possible, I joined them. This place is COOL!! We explored for about a half hour, checking out all the areas. So much to do; nothing to do!! We stayed around SAB until about 4 pm, we all got sunburned, but had a great time. We went backt to the room and showered and got ready for our 6:20 ps at Boma. We went down to the valets and asked them to call a cab for us, we didn't feel like busing all over and taking the time so the cab was our best option. My sister and family were going to meet us there (they decided to take a short nap after SAB) so the 5 of us loaded into a cab and headed over to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Now,this place is something. We came for dinner here last year at Boma and we all fell in love with it. Someday, DH and I will come here for a long, romantic weekend, we decided. We headed up to Victoria Falls lounge for a drink and to wait for the other to show up; we were expecting 15 tonight. Eventually, they all did and we went downstairs to eat. The food here is great, good selection and the kids even eat a lot of it. Of course, I saved lots of room for the Zebra Domes (which seemed to have shrunk, or is it my imagination) it's okay, I can eat more of them that way:smooth:

We checked out the lodge after dinner and roamed around the gift shop for an hour and then headed home in the cab. (about $10.50 each way plus tip, well worth it imho!)

The kids wanted to swim in the quiet pool, so we sat down there with them for a bit and let them swim. It was a beautiful night and very quiet outside.

We went back up to the room to hit the hay, tomorrow was a big day at Epcot, so we definitely needed our rest.

Goodnight Mickey!!

:D :p :smooth: ;) :)

Its a shame we didnt meet up. We went to the boat dock many times that week.

A relaxing day and dinner at Boma - sounds perfect to me - thanks for posting!
