Macadamia Nut Mahi Mahi @ Kona?

Hi all,
I was just reading someones dining review (a very good one at that) and noticed that the Macadamia Nut Mahi Mahi is back on the menu! It looks different from before tho..... more like the new ono dish but with mahi mahi rather than ono.
so can anyone else confirm this? or tell me more?

Yes, the mahi mahi is back on the menu. We were there on 1/8 and I was expecting to have the ono. I explained my disappointment with the menu change to the hostess who seated us and the chef came out to speak w/us. He said that the ono wasn't going over well with customers - something about having to cook it too much, so they added the mahi mahi back (and removed the ono) to the menu at the first of the year. But they did keep the pairing they served with the ono - on a bed of greens with slivers of mushrooms and a side of sticky rice (tastes like simple steamed rice). The mahi mahi was good (I'm not a big fish fan); the mushrooms had an intense flavor for such small pieces. DH ordered the filet and declared it the best he's had in a while (perfectly cooked). The filet was served with some great mashed potatoes which went nicely with my mushrooms. We would definitely go back here. I got the desert with the warm chocolate inside (that was the only good part of it) and can't remember what DH got. We were underwhelmed by the desserts we ordered. We were on the DDP and DH ordered water for his meal and had coffee as drink after dinner.

We eat there every trip and I was disappointed on 12/28/07 when it was missing from the menu. I really love that dish. We still had the great sticky wings and pot stickers and I had scallops and shrimp which were also good, but happy to hear about the mahi!

That is great news. I had the Mahi Mahi in Sept but in Dec I had to have the Ono. I preferred the Mahi Mahi!
