All I know is I hope the broken version of Mission: Space does not make the line any longer for those can handle riding a ride they like and skipping those they don't.

So what is next?

A Tower of Tower where it actually works like a regular elevator?
A Splash Mountain without the splash. You get off at the top of the hill and go down a flight of stairs?
A walking tour of the new Everest ride?

Don't forget to turn the lights on when you go to Space Mountain.

I also think the Rockin Rollercoaster would be more appropriate with Hillary Duff instead of Aerosmith.

Soarin could be Walkin.

:stir:

Actually I was thinking a Space Mountain with a TTA track. Still dark, but now a 15 minute ride. :teeth:

Actually, we did Space Mountain with the lights on (they had to run us through after a malfunction) and I think it's scarier! :scared1: You can see all the things that your head narrowly misses!

Now THAT I do wish they'd do, and I bet a lot of other people do, too ::yes::. Gotta love the TTA .

Or else I wish they'd update Space Mountain like they did Disneyland's :thumbsup2.

I agree with that. Before the DL version was reworked it had got pretty bright in there. You could easily see the tracks half way through the ride as your eyes adjusted.

Pretty tight spaces!

Splash Mountain - you sit in folding chairs and Brer Bear, Brer Rabbit & Brer Fox throw buckets of water at you.

Rock'n' Roller Coaster - you sit in a big comfy rocking chair as they play Pat Boone versions of Aerosmith tunes...

Test Track - Friday afternoon commute home with me driving. :teeth:

Dinosaur- the "Barney" version :lmao:
Kali River Rapids- the "lazy" river version :rotfl:

AKA- the other Haunted Mansion.

It's a Small World...without the music.

GoofyDad869, those were brilliant! :teeth:

My 8 year old DS is angry that they have tamed MS down even more. The first time we went on it was during its soft opening. It was intense and great! My DH who gets sick on the tea cups thought it was great. He said that the ride went fast enough that he didn't feel like he spinning. Fast forward to our last trip and they had made it slower. DH said that he could feel the spinning more and got off feeling a little green. DS and I both thought that it was less intense. It was our DD (6) first time on the ride and she thought it was just ok.
Once on the Pooh ride was enough for my family until I have grandchildren. Don't get me wrong I love the classic rides that are all about imagination. The Peter Pan ride is a family favorite. The Magic Kingdom is full of rides that are for the whole family. As my kids get older they like the more intense rides. My DD's favorite ride of all time it TOT. My DS talks about maybe going to Universal the next time we go back to Disney so that he can ride more thrill rides. I think that Disney can and should offer family friendly rides and thrill rides.

I love the classics as well, but some of the classics are thrill rides at some level.

All one has to do is look at the lines at the peak times and it's clear Disney needs thrill rides. All the mountains and other thrill rides have real long lines, longer than some of the classics.

I just hope this is a one off deal and they will not hesitate to put in more thrilling stuff like the original M:S. It was actually cool to see Disney have a top ten thrill ride (ranking all parks) instead of it always being filled with Six Flags and Universal.

Dinosaur - the "Barney" version
As long as the asteroid still gets 'em... I'm good with that.

Kali 'lazy river' version - isn't that El Rio del Tiempo?

How 'bout this one?:
Expedition Everest - starring Elmo!
