LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

Awww, shucks! Thanks, Deena! I'm so happy I got to see you on 11/11 too. :goodvibes IT WAS COLD. They even served hot cocoa at our dessert party when that wasn't even on the menu! :rotfl: Surprisingly though, once I put on the shawl that MIL gave me, I felt alright. I felt bad for all our guests, who were in sundresses and skimpies... The morning of our MK shoot was also freezing and I'm pretty sure is what gave me that nasty cold.

Anyways, I can't believe you went to so many places in just a couple of days. I must be a slow mover. I love that you went to Space Mountain alone. That's my favorite ride, so I would do the same thing.

I am now officially worn out after having a mega catch-up  love all the PD you have been getting. Hope we can be as lucky :) Looking foward to some more piccies.

Deena - Love love your updates. How special was it that the CM gave you the passes for the Magical Moments viewing for Illuminations :wizard:

Your pictures are great. Love the pic of you guys with the lime green wedding shirts :goodvibes

Enjoying reading along living vicariously through you :cloud9:

Um, seriously, Jealous Woman?! I'll bet YOUR ring isn't real! Ugh. I hate people. (Not you girls. But, like, everyone else I hate.)
:thumbsup2

I second this, Sheila....I just wanna see the after shot of the LapuLapu...before the Benadryl... Deena, seriously you are a beautiful woman with a beautiful smile!

Deena, you and your DH look great, and so happy. Yep those EMH at night were chilly BUT nice and empty...those chocolates YUM! My DH would've eaten the whole thing too. I still have to go back to pg5 and catch up though...I just cancelled our O'Hana ADR, because we had a similar experience with our server back in 2009...and DH still remembers that his "meat refills" were not good...he ONLY eats the meat there-his beef was raw, and everything else dry...

HEY! :) Loving the trip report so far!

Can't believe you were in the MK that late too!! We stayed until about 3:15, and it was DEAD. I seriously can't believe I didn't see you!! Or at least just bump into you!! What's up with that? :goodvibes I still think Ohana had some invisible force field that blocked you from seeing us.

Haha its funny you say that about your name, luckily my first and last name were always 5 letters, and thankfully my new name is 5 too, so something I can live with!! I got my SS back too, it only took like a week- pretty good, considering I had to wait like 2 hours at the office to give them the paperwork! I lucked out at the DMV and got it done in like 10 minutes! Changed the bank account, and I thought I changed my credit cards- but the first new one I got still has my maiden name on it... so... I will be calling them again! :headache:

I have no idea how we didn't see each other. There were like 10 people in the MK that late, lol. Well I DID see you running to your bus--you just didn't see me  Sounds like you're moving right along changing your name!! I think I'm going to try to do some of that on Friday. That sucks about your card, lol--Good Luck with that!!

Um, seriously, Jealous Woman?! I'll bet YOUR ring isn't real! Ugh. I hate people. (Not you girls. But, like, everyone else I hate.)

Sorry, these are just going to be my thoughts. I'm quite scattered today.

-That's so cool that you got special seating for Illuminations! I've never liked it either... I wonder if it's the special place I'll get for taking my Epcot tour? Maybe I'll actually go then. And you got to see Danielle! Gah! :goodvibes
-Premier Passport: Fancy shmancy! But now you have park tickets out of the way, which is awesome.
-I wanna stay concierge.
-You need to post more pictures! For instance, I want to see this tank top.
-I'm currently using Basin's pumpkin soap in the shower. If you were curious.
-And I had a lapu lapu and wasn't impressed IMHO! Too rum-my.

Lol, I dunno what's wrong with people--I'm not a fan of the general public either--working in retail does that to you. You should stay CL sometime--even if only for 2 days!! Love it!! The tank I bought is red with Minnie on the front and Minnie with a number on the back. It goes with sweatpants, but I didn't like them. I dunno if I have a picture of me in it or not :confused3 I just finished a Basin Lavender!! I think I'll stick with my Grey Goose Slushie!!

Yay for hot cocoa!!! I think that day is what triggered our sicknesses too. It was so odd. You're not a slow mover--we just hit a few things here and there, lol. I am glad I went alone because I always wondered if I would survive solo---and that gave me a little taste--and I liked it!!

I am now officially worn out after having a mega catch-up  love all the PD you have been getting. Hope we can be as lucky :) Looking foward to some more piccies.

Lol, yeah, I wanna bust thing thing out before I start forgetting!!

Thanks Sheila!! I loved our Magical Moment!!! I made those shirts for us, but they didn't last through the first wash, lol--my rhinestones formed into a ball and stuck to OKW's dryer  Oh well--they're painting/dying hair/washing the car shirts now!!

:thumbsup2

Awwwww thanks :cutie: Lol, even the CL CMs said they know it can be hit or miss!! We'll still go back, but I think I'm going to change my May ressie to California Grill since there's rumor of a refurb. Just wait till you get to page 12 with the March TR :lmao: I think if I only ate the meat at Ohana I'd be mad... but I love all the other goodies the most. Plus they make me the best hot fudge brownie since I can't have the bread pudding that has coconut :wizard:

I love seeing all of your pictures!! The lights are amazing. I've never seen them in person yet, so I just love looking at the pictures of them. One day I'll get there around this time of year!

And the Magical Moment sounds soo cool! I didn't know they did that.

The show must go on :wizard:

11/13/11

So we had the late checkout since we were at the MK so late. I had reservations for Kona at 10:40, but figured we'd just see how we felt. I got up around 9, asked DH what he thought--and all I got was some kind of moaning sound. Okay then! So I got up, went over to the lounge one last time for breakfast while he slept--thanked everyone over there for a magical stay, came back got ready--and finally saw some movement out of him, lol. He got ready we were packed and ready to go a little after 11. I didn't know what to do with the huge vase and the roses--they weren't going to hold up, it was heavy--and not that I didn't love it--I just didn't know what to do. I decided, along with another tip, that I would leave a note telling Consuelo to take them home and enjoy them. I hope that she did!!

I had called a cab to move us over to OKW because I just don't trust the moving service--I like to know where my stuff is--and I had a lot of stuff. We decided in the cab that we would do the Food and Wine festival for lunch because I wanted to buy the cookbook. I didn't expect our room to be ready since it's DVC and check in is at 4, so we checked our stuff will bell services and I noticed there were people EVERYWHERE. Lots of people in the lobby. We were greeted and told the systems were down and that they couldn't check anyone in and to try back in a "bit". We decided to just wait it out so we explored a bit, shopped, looked around, went back---nothing---try back later. So we hopped the bus to Epcot. We beat the Food and Wine festival up pretty bad, lol. We had discovered our favorites by then and got a few items we missed the first day. I got my cookbook!! I want to start making stuff out of it, but I haven't done a giant store run since funds have been tight between coming back, losing work from the accident, xmas spending, and DL stuff. My favorite item was the Ropa Vieja and my favorite dessert was the Apple Streudel!! After we ate (and DH drank--the Singapore Sling made him crazy tipsy) we decided to try and go back to see if we could check in. So we go back--it's 3:30. Taking the bus back, we realized just how big OKW is, and I was checking out building numbers that I would prefer, lol. I also remembered areas that I didn't want, lol. Systems were obviously back up because people were flocking out of the Hospitality House. When she gives us our room assignment it was of course somewhere I was like :headache: So I ask in my sweet-the-worst-you-can-say-is-no voice if there is anything in the 60's available. I also remind her that I have a separate continuing reservation for the next day. Yes ma'am, 6221 is available, the maid is finishing cleaning right now :woohoo: Win!! They said they would text when it was done which should be shortly since it was almost 4. We didn't have anywhere to be until Shula's at 7pm--but we definately wanted to change and freshen up. We went over to the bar which was infested with bees. DH had a beer, I had nachos and a sprite. I wasn't hungry, but when I see nachos anywhere, I suddenly get the urge to order them, lol.

It was 4:15 and no text, DH's room key didn't work at the bar either. So we went in to check what was up. They got is room key straight, but didn't understand why we didn't get a text. They make a few calls.... and.... she looks really confused. She said that the Mousekeeper that started cleaning just left without finishing and went home :confused3 So they were sending another Mousekeeper over to finish. So we sat in the lobby, and sat, and sat. The girl came back over asking if we got the text yet--nope! So she gets the manager. It's now 5:15. He explains how someone just left and didn't finish and they're taking longer than normal to get it done. He said our wait was unacceptable and that he was giving us a $100 credit for our lost time. :wizard: So finally our room was ready. It was very close to the Hospitality House so we walked with all of our stuff, lol. DH loved how big the villa was and immediately plopped down on the couch. I started laundry and checking the place out--getting the cold stuff in the fridge, etc. Shortly thereafter we had to start getting ready for Shula's. A knock on the door scared us half to death as I was dressing, and it was someone with balloons and another Mickey/Minnie signed photopass card--very nice :)

I made sure to get my $25 restaurant.com coupon from my folder (thanks pas130!!)--everything was a mess from being all packed up. I put it in my purse. DH is looking everywhere for his room key, thinks it's in my purse so he dumps it :headache: It wasn't in there, it was on the coffee table. I repack, call a cab to come to our room and get us, we fight about the buttons again , and we leave. Cabs are so easy to get to a resort dinner--so worth it. This guy was insane. I thought we were going to wreck about 5 times--a maniac!! We got there in one piece and were rather early. We checked in anyway. I love it here, but it is very snooty--warning to those who may go in the future. So I get in my purse for the coupon, I dig, I dig, then I look up at the one who dumped my purse. It's not there. We go back and forth about who's fault it is, etc, and I tell him that we've done nothing but make money on this trip from the CR and OKW credits and $25 wasn't going to kill us--that we'd use it next time. We had an amazing meal and I was soooooooooo ready to go see the Osbourne Lights again, and since we were early to dinner, we could probably catch Fantasmic! too!! So we're leaving and getting ready to head toward the boat---DH says... I left my park ticket in the room :headache: :headache: :headache: Really? We just spent an entire meal talking about how I forgot the coupon, and you don't even have your park ticket. He apologized and we decided we would drop both subjects and go to Downtown Disney, and go back on the boat. It was so early and so much park time was wasted--I was secretly mad, lol. So I went to Goofy's and bought lots of tea, and a few goodies. We then went to the Pin store and got lots and lots and lots of pins!! I think he's crazy addicted now. It was getting cold, and I was bored with DD. He stopped in the Lego store for a keychain for his brother and we got on the boat to OKW. We went to the gift shop and I got some snacks--he got a frozen pizza for later, we found 2 agent p pins there and snagged them!! We went back to the room, I did more laundry, curled up on the couch and passed out. He watched TV, had his pizza, then woke me up around 1 to go to bed. There was some kind of sleeping drug in that couch I swear!! I was out cold!! This was truly a wasted day. Sure we had great food and a little fun--but most of it was completely wasted waiting around, or just hanging out since SOMEONE didn't bring their ticket, lol. It was kind of relaxing not to run around like crazy. OKW didn't feel very Disney to me. It felt more like a weekend away in a condo. I don't love the bathroom set up, but I loved the larger jacuzzi tub. DH really liked it and wants to stay there again--but I think I like Saratoga Springs a little better. I liked it, and I loved the couch, but IF I didn't get a close room to the main area, I wouldn't love it as much.

Only 1 more full day to go!!

You can still use the coupon for May..or does it expire??? I have no idea. My DH skipped out on Shula's but luckily a co-worker went right after me sooooooooooooo he and his DF got the $25 off. After DH cancelled out on Shula's he got hungry :headache: yeah, gotta love that man-o-mine. Captain Grille was walk up so that's where we ate...and I got SO sick after...dunno if it was the CL appys or dinner...but

Sorry for my vent....so I just read your TR, your stepmom is too much :lmao: I feel for you girl  You absolutely sure no SOLO trip for your birthday....back to the teens. Imagine my surprise when I saw an update....I am NEVER gonna catch-up

Ok...bookmark me on pg.27...you were booked at BCV....loving this thread. But like real life I read the ending already....

They don't expire so I'll be using it for sure!!! He totally missed out by cancelling!! We've had good luck at Capt. Grille, but it doesn't touch Shula's. Maybe go to Yachtsman on Spring Break and as for Oscar!! I wish I was solo in May--I'm sure it'll be another trip for the books, lol. ((Yes all--Stepmom is going back to Disney with me in May )) Lol, I think I'll do one more update today while I'm on a roll!!

Awww. I'm sorry you had a wasted day. But, it does sound... relaxing. I've never had a relaxing day like that in Disney World haha. (Remind me to do that next month...)

And you keep getting all of these credits! Woohoo!

Last full day

11/14/11

My internal clock woke me up and I decided to go ahead and get ready for the day and kind of pack everything up since we were leaving the next day. As you can guess--he was still sleeping. We didn't have to be anywhere until Via Napoli at 11:30. He finally got up, we got our stuff together and were on our way to Epcot. Since I had got my Premier Passport he was saying how he wanted one. He was on a 7 day park hopper and I told him if he felt froggy--then leap, lol. (get it hopper-leap ) Do I really think he had the excess $$ to spend on it--no--but does it take a ton of $$ stress off of me for 2012 tickets... yes! So we stopped by guest services to get his shiny new card, did a swing through the Land to get a FP for Soarin and worked our way to Italy. We checked in and one of the servers came over to us and asked where we got our buttons because they weren't made anymore. I told her we got them in May at Kidani when we heard they were going to be gone. Lots of people asked us this during the trip--gotta be prepared!! Via Napoli is always very yummy!! I'm glad Disneyland has Naples which is a sister restaurant to it!! I can't wait!! So we left there and did Soarin, Living with the Land and Figment. We still were undecided on food for that night since we canceled Ohana. We were supposed to eat Sci Fi the next day, but I thought it would be more convenient to eat there tonight while we were there for the lights. I called and made it happen while he was looking at pins, lol. We picked up a couple.

Next we were off to Animal Kingdom. Another loop around to our favorites before we left :) We stayed close this time!! We made our way back to OKW. Dinner wasn't till way later, but we were a little hungry so we split chicken tenders and fries from Goods to Go. They were pretty good :) We took a cat nap, got up and changed and were off to Hollywood Studios! As we were getting off the bus we saw Amber and her new DH running full speed toward they're bus--ears and all!! We went straight for the lights and I just stood there. I didn't want to go. I didn't want to leave--I just wanted to stay and watch. He finally nudged me along so we could go eat. Luckily SciFi is just around the corner--we could come back!!! This was his pick--not mine. It was OKAY, not great, not really good--Meh at best. I don't like to sit in the cars, and the Flying Saucer tables in the back are small and uncomfy. I just wanted to go--but luckily it was meh for him too and we don't have to come back for a while :yay: He thought we were leaving for the night and I turned the corner again--I didn't want to leave the lights. I started to tear up because we were just going back to the room and I knew it was almost over. We left and we went back to finish packing. I did a load of laundry, took a basin therapy scented bath, then passed out on the couch again. I stayed on the couch because he was getting really sick at this point. Hacking, coughing, choking, sniffling---gross  I can't sleep around that so I stayed on my couch and set my phone alarm. I decided I reallllllllllly wanted Nine Dragons for lunch, so we would do that! I made a ressie on my phone and went to sleep.

..................................and the LAST DAY :sad1:

I woke up first. He sounded awful. I had a little sore throat so I had some tea, but knew I had to get things done. I got ready, called the bellhop to come get my bags--told him how many--okay. We had 2 Large Suitcases, 2 Carry On Suitcases, a reuseable bag that had snacks in it, and a Vera Duffle. Somehow I got stuck with both carry ons and the 2 bags---he only took the 2 big ones and asked if I was going to follow him :confused3 What in the world?? I called bell services because I didn't want to carry this stuff!!! I was mad and at this point I figured--oh well--what are you gonna do?? I reflected it in his tip because he only took 2 bags--lazy. I checked our checked luggage and got our boarding passes. I got back to the room and he was getting ready. We were off to Epcot!! We got there, and he was just sick :( Nine Dragons didn't open until 12 and he thought we were pushing it and needed to find something else. I wanted Chinese soooooooooooo bad. I shut my mouth and suggested Coral Reef.... too heavy. Mama, 50s..... No. Earl of Sandwich.... maybe. He says....... I want Liberty Tree :headache: So I try to call and find a ressie... nothing. He still wants to try. We hop the monorail, get to the MK, and I practically run to LTT---Booked solid until 2:30pm. :headache: I felt defeated. He was hungry, we had to be back for the ME bus at 2. Columbia Harbour House... no. The Plaza?? We've never been there. He says yes--I'm just like whatever. I didn't really want a sandwich. We walked up. I had my head hung and asked if they were taking walkups. She said sure follow me! We got right in!!

We ordered and were taking in all the little details of the place. A parade was just finishing and you could see it out the window. There was a precious little girl sitting a few tables away and she was just too cute!! So in walks an actress/CM (I think it was the Mayor's Wife or something) and names the little girl the Junior Mayor of the Day!!! It was so sweet to watch, and it was such a big deal--I never knew about any of that!! Of course I recognized the actress/CM right away!! She was the "Mother In Law" from the Bridal Showcase and Vera Tidy from Cassie's wedding!! She spent a lot of time in the Alfred Angelo fittings at the Showcase and was around when I was trying on gowns for quite a while. So DH and I are waiting on our food and after she was done, she came right over to our table--in character. We didn't have reseravations here and didn't tell them a celebration, and I had packed our buttons in our checked luggage---we looked just like a regular couple in for lunch and never let on anything more.

So she comes up to us.... Talking in her character voice....
Ohhhhh I bet you two are honeymooners!!!
---I smiled. DH is caught off guard.
Ohhhhh and I bet you got married here and everything!!
---DH looks puzzled and I say yes we did! (at this point i realize she remembers me from the fitting)
I can just picture you in your dress, I'm having such a vision of it--all the sparkle!! I bet it was fabulous!!!
---I start to giggle and tell her that it was a great day and DH is looking at her like she's nuts
She goes on about wedding stuff for a minute and wishes us well after announcing to the room that we just got married. It was sweet and I just can't believe she would remember me from March!! I had to explain the whole thing to DH and he said that it was pretty bold to come up, assume a couple just got married and that they had a Disney wedding, lol. I explained that she was around my fitting for a longgggggggggg time and we had chatted quite a bit. It was fun.

So we ate. It was good--I'd go back--but I didn't really want a sandwich, lol. I still wanted rice. We ran through the MK shops again, but it wasn't anywhere near time to go back to OKW--what to do. He suggested to go to Downtown Disney for a bit since we'd be close. So we walked over to the CR, hopped the bus and went to DD. I told him we needed to leave by 1:10 because the bus would leave at 1:55 and we needed to get our stuff from Bell Services. We walked around, looked at pins, and got a snack at Goofy's. He said the boat would take too long in the day time and we should take the bus since it's so close. We went over to the bus at the Marketplace at 1:00pm... early. The bus came at 1:20... why was it soooooooooooo long?? Oh well, we were on our way. Next stop, Pleasure Island/Westside. ECV load. Bus Driver Change--Bus Driver Change Issue--Finally at 1:45 we are on our way. I give DH a couple dollars for Bell Services and get my ME info out and ready so we can just hop on. Next Stop-- Typhoon Lagoon :scared1:  :headache: This is a nightmare. We got to the bus stop at 1pm!!! So I'm in panic mode. I call the number on ME and freak about what's going on. They said if we miss the bus to have OKW Concierge call and try to get us on the next one. We finally get to our OKW bus stop at 2:05, he gets the luggage, no ME bus to be found :( I go in and explain what happened--they said the next bus is full. I tear up, but asked what our options were and they said they would call a cab. I asked what the average fare would be and they said, "no worries--we'll give you a voucher!" DH comes in the lobby with all 6 bags and is like, what is going on?? I said, "we're getting a cab." He not so quietly says, "how much is that going to (insert word of choice here) cost?" I say that we're getting a voucher and he looked embarrassed and said thank you  Temper Temper!! I thanked them and apologized that it took us so long to get back and next time we would take the boat!!

They sent us another crazy cab driver. We got to the airport and gave our voucher and gave him a tip and we were off to security!! Security was a breeze for us. Not so much for the 90 year old woman who refused to take off her shoes in front of us. We got to the gate and settled in. When we were finding our seats, I noticed that they changed mine. I always have an aisle seat because I get claustrophobic. I was in the window and he was in the middle. I had a panic attack and couldn't breathe. I was mad and will make sure this never happens again. It was 100% full and I didn't want to make a scene, but I had packed my meds and felt like I couldn't get relief. He hacked like he had the swine flu the whole time and it was nasty. I had never been so happy to get off a plane in my life. MIL was supposed to pick us up, but the brother came instead. She hasn't contacted me since and has had very little contact with him. Is this a blessing, or some kind of calm before the storm  Doggy was sooooooooooo happy to see us!! I told him I wasn't cooking and we were getting Chinese. I still was craving from lunch!! We caught up on a little DVR and the rest is history!!!!!!! The suitcases are still in the hallway--still packed--in case you wanted to know :rotfl:

Well that's it!! I still owe you pictures now that the rest is finished!! Never a dull moment with us!! I can't wait till our REAL Honeymoon!! Thanks for reading along everyone!!! :grouphug:

Awww I'm so sad it's all over. :sad1::sad1::sad1: All in all though, it sounds like a great trip: and you got to come home with a husband!

Awww. I'm sorry you had a wasted day. But, it does sound... relaxing. I've never had a relaxing day like that in Disney World haha. (Remind me to do that next month...)

Yes!! Take time to relax!! I'm sad it's all over... but you're right! I did come home with a husband, and how many times through this PJ/TR did you think I wasn't going to :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: You're almost there girl--slow down and take it allllll in!!

Awe what a shame about the shirts, they were so nice. Something like that would no doubt happen if I tried my hand at making shirts.

At least your luck with checking in held true, with the system being down. We were in Bldg 64 when we stayed OKW. We had requested either 1st floor or a bldg with an elevator, I forget where they originally had us but it was a 2nd floor no elevator.
Unbelievable that your room was not ready for so long at least they compensated you nicely
Funny story about your DH forgetting his KTTW card, gotta love'em :rotfl:

One more update to read but I need to get a cup of coffee. The menu at shulas looks fantastic but I don't do "snooty" well. We are trying Cap't grill for a late dinner after Fantasmic in March, I hope it is good.

Your last day was a fun read indeed. How you did so much running around before ME is crazy. The bus system at Disney can sometimes irk the XXXX out of ones patience. Getting to ME late is one of my nightmares especially for our March trip since JB pushed our leave time to 55 earlier. They better not change it again. As it is I am not sure about our breakfast reservation now, we might end up just doing room service , boardwalk bakery or maybe the bell vue lounge that morning.
I can so relate about wanting chinese , I was like that yesterday but DH wanted to stop at Friendlys and I like you did not want a sandwich, as luck would have it we were seated and we sat and sat no server ever came over, so DH got pissed and said come on were leaveing............got to go to chinese
Never ate at the Plaza but we are doing LTT in March. That was too awesome that CM remembered you :goodvibes
All in all I think Your Special Day and Honeymoon was very Magical
