LuvLuvLuv's Memories TR Starts Pg 73 - Honeymoon Day 6.1

Will my photographer be able to edit it??

Not sure who your photog will eventually be or if they themselves do that type of editing, but I wanted to reassure you that it is very simple to edit something like that out of a photograph! No need to worry. :thumbsup2

I love the second venue--it's so pretty! :lovestruc

Also, you could play the HDDR strawberry shortcake song with dessert!!! :lmao:

I like the second venue! And YUM for strawberry shortcake  I love it!
That stinks that you have to pay for it. I know all about that...it isn't easy! So I say do what makes you happy and do something that won't put you in a bind. :)

I'm hoping someone (anyone) steps up to help, lol. If not, we'll do it as economically as we can without sacrificing class. We're in Kentucky... and I definately don't want it to be a stereotypical hoedown  We'll all have shoes on and I think everyone has a full set of teeth  And I will have strawberry shortcake :)

I vote for the second venue and definitely strawberry shortcake AND brownies.

What a bummer that you have to pay for that too. I know how it feels!!! It sucks but I guess to look on the bright side you don't have people telling you what to do or not to do. But then again that doesn't happen, does it!!!

True about no one telling me what to do! I like to run my own show :)

I really like both of the reception venues, and their prices looked pretty reasonable too on the websites! And definitely strawberry shortcake :)

I'm excited they're reasonable!! It helps a lot!! Someone better bring the benedryl because I'm allergic to strawberries but I LOVE them!! I only get a skin reaction so we'll be okay, lol!!

Okay, I promise to work on an update for you for tomorrow! I'm super tired right now. SO I only have enough energy to reply to your posting cause I love you so! :goodvibes

First off, do whatever you want and can afford without being in a super duper tight spot. Money sucks. So I feel your pain.
However, I vote for number 2. The Mansion joint. So pretty! I love the look of it kinda reminds me of a medeivel castle. (Don't mind my WICKED spelling)

And I say... Brownie & Strawberry Shortcake tiered wedding cake.. DUH! :rotfl:

I didn't even notice your tooth girlie. Maybe they can edit it out? I'd talk to the photographer once booked. And go from there. I know how expensive dental work is.

Feel better gorgeous! <3

OOOH, I may to a brownie/SS cake like set up, lol. I've been tired too. I don't like it. That filling really gets me :( I had a metal bracket around the one tooth for 3 years and when I got my braces off it was a weird spot for a cavity, but it had to be fixed, ya kno? Sucks that it's on my "good side" :rotfl: The other side shows how crooked my one tooth is :( I should have worn the retainer... but I was far too cool for it.

I really like the second venue--- the first one has a really busy carpet IMO. And I agree--- do a brownie and strawberry shortcake layered cake! I can see it already--- tiers of brownies and shortcake. Mmmmmmmmm.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I should ask for a tasting... tonight, lol.

Thanks!!

Lol, that would be GREAT!!

So we've pretty much decided on the Mansion place. He likes it, I like it, y'all like it, it's relaxed and we like the one catering place pretty well. Problem is, I want to do classic beef, pasta, etc.... he wants to do grilled cookout food stuff like bbq, burgers and grilled chicken. I will forgive his lapse of judgement because it's currently June... but in late November it will just seem odd (I think). We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Stepmom and aunt are coming down for 4th of July weekend. I'm going to start cleaning tonight. They cleaned my house major last time and I let it get messy again... so I have to act like that didn't happen

In other news... I randomly booked a studio at Beach Club Villas for November. I'm not sure this is where I want to be, but at least we have a home for now, lol. The Epcot area is booking rapidly for F/W and I was getting a little nervous so I just grabbed the cheapest option. I'm second guessing that I may want a real hotel room, but I dunno... I'll talk to him and see. I got so excited that I ordered a new bathing suit for Storm a Long Bay, lol.

Well I'm exhausted, but I'm trying to do lots of work today so I don't have to do anything tomorrow. That's the plan. Thanks for looking at the venues!! I'm glad we all think alike!!

Hello and Happy Monday :goodvibes

This weekend was like a wedding extravaganza for me!! I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday night on the internet looking at wedding stuff, going over the budget, running things past Dave, etc. We don't agree on everything... but whatever.

We found the wedding band he wants... it's awesome and I'm ordering it next paycheck! I found the headband I want on a site $70 cheaper than the other sites! And I ordered a veil at an unbeatable price on ebay. It's a 2 tier white, fingertip length with rhinestone edges. They were REALLY expensive other places, so I just decided to go with it. I hope it looks good--it was $52.99, but compared to the $175+ I was finding elsewhere, I thought it was a win.

We agreed on an aisle runner logo. Then he came back a couple hours later saying we didn't need an aisle runner for us us :headache: I explained that we did, and that we WOULD have one. He's like, I think I we should do it up on that little hill at the Polynesian then we wouldn't need all that :headache: :headache: :headache: :headache: If we weren't at the grocery store I would have pummeled him to the ground. I tried my best to ignore this, but he just kept at it. Anywho--I've decided on an aisle runner and have made modifications to my dreams to make it at least, cheaper, lol. Basically I took off the ribbon border and it knocked off $200.

I looked at dresses for hours. Almost bought a few cheapies from China, then decided it would ruin my shopping experience. We'll see. I really need to get to my jeweler and order my band too. I'm also not going overboard with the "bride" / "just married" apparel. Maybe 2 tank tops, or a hoodie--no bag, no robe, etc etc etc. We'll have a villa and I can wash whatever I get. He probably won't wear anything, so I'm not wasting $ on it. He really likes his lime green Mickey polo, so I may get more colors when we go in November for him.

One month from now we can book our wedding. I'm pretty pumped to get the ball rolling. We're started a preliminary itinerary. We decided to do a day of Islands of Adventure which I haven't been to since 2000, him since 2007. He wants to do the Wild Africa Jungle Trek while I'm at the spa, and we both want to do Dolphins in Depth and Nature Inspired Design. I would say we'll pick one or the other and do one for an anniversary or something. We don't want to get up early every day. We even made a list of what we'll need from the Garden Grocer, lol. It really was a productive weekend!!

We also had a little talk last night about if we were going to buy into DVC or move to Florida. I just want to know what to save up for, etc, since we've talked about both. I said we could always move south and still buy in. I suggested Atlanta/Surrounding Area, or Charlotte. He said maybe yes Charlotte, but no to Atlanta... only because I have tons of friends there and he wouldn't have anyone. Lame, lol.

Well I think that's it. I want to run thru this month's budget to see how much I can buy now while I found stuff with the right prices :) Let's also say a little prayer that he gets Sunset Pointe out of his head, lol!

Have a great week everyone!!

Oohh I AM excited that we are Beach Club studios twins! I think you should keep it..... so you can tell me about it. :lmao: (Selfish, I know!) We usually stay at Pop Century because we're poor/I'm cheap and don't think moderates are worth the $$$, so the Beach Club is going to feel like a palace!

I'll keep my fingers crossed about the veil. :) And I agree--- you want an aisle runner? You get it!!!

So excited for all that you got done! Look at you go! =] It's crazy how much aisle runners are! =X haha. But at least you can still get your way!

I was debating on ordering a second dress from China.. but so far I have resisted! haha.

Everything else sounds fabulous though! Can't wait to hear more my luv!

It sounds like you had a productive wedding planning weekend! Very nice! Your veil sounds like it was a great bargain, I'm sure it's very pretty.

Great that you're planning a day at Islands of Adventure! I don't know if you're a Harry Potter fan, but even if you're not, the Wizarding World is a really cool place. It's themed extremely well :)

We did decide to keep it. Villa discounts are normally a little more and I like the microwave for my tea! We spoiled ourselves early on... almost, kinda wish we hadn't, lol. I'll take lots of pix!!

I swear some of those cheapies are beautiful... but that's because the pictures aren't of the knockoff you're getting, lol. I almost want to take a chance on one just to see how it turns out.

I think my head is still spinning from this weekend!! I got an email that the veil shipped and I'll get pictures on here asap :) I actually have no idea about anything Harry Potter, lol--I didn't let myself get into it!! I still think it'll be a lot of fun!! We normally don't go over there because we don't take a car, etc... but since it's a long trip, it won't seem like such a hassle. I'm excited!! I'll probably get tickets soon before they raise prices in the fall. I think we're going to buy the fast pass thing too. Since we only have a little time, and would like to be back before a late dinner... it'll be worth it!

Good job on checking off that list.....most importantly getting what you want at a great price! Can't wait to see the veil on ya! Do you have a little garment steamer, I know my sisters was a wrinkled mess out of the box; but after steaming looked so much better and softer!

Hi Deena! I haven't had time to catch up on your PJ but I wanted to tell you when we were in WDW (Epcot I think) we passed a family that had a stroller with the name Guzman on it. I instantly thought of you!

We own our DVC at Beach Club. You both will love it. If you have any questions, let me know.

We will be there for 2 nights in November too! Can't wait.

I've been looking at steamers and have one on a registry. Hoping to get one at a shower :)

Lol!! Too funny!! When we arrived at Saratoga, we had a privacy door hanger on our room--we looked at each other and were like--oh no. I can't wait to hear all about your trip!!

Yay! Would I be right in saying to request "close to marketplace" ? When do you go in November?? So exciting!!

Well my goods have shipped :) New strapless swim dress for Storm a Long bay, veil, and I forgot to tell you that I ordered a rhinestone Mickey head headband. It was 1.99, lol. I'm going to turn into an ebay freak. It looks a little cheap, but still fun--I'll wear it in WDW until it turns green

Talked to my aunt last night. Her and my stepmom are "in". Dave's mad. I'm surprisingly okay with it at this point (I really wanted my aunt there, but she said she wasn't traveling with the other mob that was coming--now that it's just them, she is excited--which made me excited--but Dave is not). I asked if I could ask his mom, and he said no. His choice. He said something under his breath about not having his friends there, and I kept my cool about finances although I wanted to breathe fire on him. My stepmom and aunt are zero financial burden on me--and that's what he doesn't get. I was looking at the Disney Florist site for something to send to their room--but that's about it. Whatevs... we'll see how much this twists and turns in the next year.

Dave is hellbent on getting married outside--and that I'm not allowed to order an aisle runner. This makes me mad. I am out of choices. I want to stay on the MK side, Sunset Pointe is too windy--I showed him pix, they don't use the beach anymore, construction is going to happen. The only almost options may be Sago Cay or the Marina... but I (stated like a 5 year old stomping and whining) want the Wedding Pavilion--with the aisle runner. I was so mad I didn't eat dinner and just kind of ignored him. He's like, what about Japan, or Italy.... finally my ignoring came to a end and I bursted out... then I have to use Disney Photography and I don't like them!! :headache: I do like Regina's work--a lot... but you don't get much for what you pay for and I really really really will be heartbroken if I can't get Misty. I just want to cry. He is going thru some mental block that hates all the dresses, all the extras, and all the venues I pick. He does like the wedding band I picked for him though. I thought I had this all done, and ready to book and he's being wishy washy. Let's hope his male PMS passes and we can move on. This subject is exhausting me today, so I'm going to leave it at that. It's been a week since my last email to DFTW about some ideas... hopefully I hear back soon. I'll keep everyone posted!!

HA HA! I'm having the SAME issues on the Aisle Runner with my DF. Of all things to be picky about, thats what he is stuck on with me.......

Isn't it absurd what men choose to be upset about? My fiance and I got in a fight a few weeks ago over (get this)... gravy. We're having a potato action station at our buffet and I said no gravy because it looks messy. He said no one would like our wedding if there was no gravy. I say once you talk him into the WP ;), get the runner and tell him not to look down!

GAH! I want to kick Dave right now! (No offense, of course... just on your behalf.) Although, at least Dave HAS an opinion. Chris just says "Sure!" Or, when I try to make some sort of graphic, he puts his graphic design hat on and says "No, that's not right" but then doesn't fix it... grr..... I like to threaten him with "FINE! I'LL MARRY MYSELF THEN LIKE SUE SYLVESTRE ON GLEE!" Yep.

Ugh I totally feel you on the male PMS! I ordered ties over the weekend and was sewing pocket squares, and suddenly Greg said he didn't want to wear purple...our main wedding color! Gah! Just tune him out. I'm all for getting the man's input...but not when it crushes your dreams! Btw..we are getting so close to the 16 month mark! Are you nervous?? I'm afraid someone will swoop in at the last minute and request our venues. Eek!

what is wrong with them, lol?? i think aisle runners look amazing in the WP and make really great photos!! well i'll just have to monitor the UPS packages for the next year or so, hide it, ship it down there, and I'll be like oooooh honey--pixie dust!!

lol gravy. sounds like us! he wants a bbq/cookout theme at our late nov/early dec reception. very fitting for the time of year :lmao: i told him that we'd talk about it next year--i'd rather not argue it for the next 12 months, lol.

ugh, i know! i try so hard to get an opinion out of him, then he disagrees with me and i would have been better off just shutting up and doing my thing! i think the heat is getting to their heads!

i'm getting soooooooo nervous about the 16 month mark. now that i need the early spot i feel even more pressure. i'm sure the 2 of you have discussed colors several times, and of course when you make the purchase they act like you never talked about it before. drives me nuts!!! i book in 29 days and now he wants to get married outside :confused3 i feel like he's seeing how far he can push me, lol. there's no more changing minds... i feel like i've bothered my planner enough.

Ugh I hate when it's that time for the men. I swear they are WORSE than the women! =P

But hopefully all will work out in the end! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

As far as the dresses from China goes.. I'm going to be ordering one for our honeymoon and one for a trash the dress.. so I will keep you posted on how they turn out! ha. I should order them at the end of the summer or fallish, so we shall see.

So how long have you had your DVC? I'm trying to convince DF into buying into it NOW, but he's not going for it. Wants to wait another 5 years. =[ I need help convincing him! haha

Great Minds think a like! I've been doing all kinds of wedding stuff on the Sly!! :) I bet you anything my DF won't even notice that there IS an asile runner if we end up doing one! MEN!
